Would you vote for a lesser penalty fo petty Marijuana possession?
I'm not talking about decriminalizing marijuana, but marijuana possession in small amounts would not result with jail time and the loss of scholarships and federal financial aid for students, but instead would be a large fine. A lesser penalty and still illegal.

I take it that this about u or someone u know.
My opinion of marajuana is "if it doesn't effect my child, I don't care"
Putting people in jail for pot is rediculous, they should b fined & made to give urine samples for the next year.
Any other drug & they should b sent to Tasmania for a year.

I would vote for no penalty, who cares if people want to smoke what difference does it make, you'd think the government would want to legalize it because then they could tax it... And marijuana possesion in small amounts already results in no jail time.

The penalty is already really low. At least it is low where I live. Do the crime, do the time. If someone is worried about their scholarships and stuff, then they shouldn't break the law.

No, because I think that people who are caught with possession should be locked away. If you break the law, you break the law. And don't deserve pity, just because you happen to be a student.

No...the penalty is what the penalty is. You don't want to pay the price? Then don't break the law.

I wouldn't support that. It's a drug, and it should continue to be treated as such. Why don't potheads clean up their acts and turn to alcohol if they really need chemical intervention to make it through their lives?

MARIJUANA SHOUD NOT BE A PROBLEM- SHOULDN'T HAVE ANY PENALTIES! THE CHICK THAT SAYS IT'S A DRUG THAT SHOULD BE OVERTURNED TO ALCOHOL IS FUNNY. THEY'RE ARE MORE DEATHS CAUSED BY ALCOHOL RELATED VS. POT.
