How does that work? Do the producers pay the judgment? Do the litigants get compensated in some way?

I don't know whether to put this question under Law and Ethics or TV!!

Yes. The Judgment is paid by the producer. No they also receive set amount just for appearing in the show.

I think they pay around $300 bucks just for a peson to be on the show and I don't know how they pay on the settlement part of the deal.If you get a settlement I think they pay that to.????

You should listen to the disclaimer. I believe it states right in there that they are not being paid. It's the opening annocement to the show, after you hear about the claim.

at the end of the show they do have text on the show, that says both parties do recieve some money from the show. they don't show it long enough to read all of it though, as there is some more text on there.

I think the show pays whatever verdict she awards and they probably give both parties something for being on the show.
