We are in Answers because no one will talk to us in real life. However, we are very opinionated and want to be right (left) at all times.

I have answered a number of political questions and really do not consider myself a jerk. I try to treat even the most vapid racist with a modicum of courtesy and respect (ok one or two times I got a little pissed at someone), and try to keep my reasoning sound. But more or less, it shows the ignorance of politics many Americans have, because I assume it is mostly Americans answering the political questions (a lot of them are about American govt policy).

Because everyone has political views to shout out, but few people actually know what they are talking about. So they try to get other people to join them thinking that there is truth in numbers. So they become pushy.
