Yes. FMLA is available for people caring for a loved one who needs it. That means spouse, child, parent. You are eligible and need to talk to your HR department.

Possibly. The FMLA allows for up to 12 weeks in a year to care for a sick relative, give birth or adopt a child. However, there are restrictions as to what companies must allow FMLA. Employees are elegible provided they have worked for the company for at least 12 months and for at least 1,250 hours in the past 12-months at a facility that has at least 50 employees in a 75-mile radius.
SO...if you work for a small company of less than 50 employees or only work part-time, you would not be eligible.
I just completed an HR course that covered this in great detail.

How soon will your daughter be 18yrs old? She can get a drivers permit and you can allow her to drive with you in the car, so she can be ready to get a license soon. As for FMLA... maybe until she is 18. Do not encourage her to need you because she is pregnant and you should not try to use her as a means to get assistance (FMLA). If she is less than 7 months pregnant take her to get a drivers permit and let her start driving (with you) so when your grandchild comes she will be independent , maybe get her a safe used car; show her how to prepare for parenting, not depend on you and vise verse. Good luck

You should be...I know it was approved in the reverse when a child had to help her parent. Check with her doctor to see if they would be willing to write something up for you or your HR office for the proper documentation. It really helps to reduce the stress, you know you will not be terminated from your job.
