Ok so I went to go eat sushi at this restaurant I payed for half with my debit card for like $14 and some change. And when I signed the total. I forgot to write down a tip and then total that up. I just put down what I owed without thinking about a tip!!

Anyways 2 days later I check out my online bank statement and the bills was like $18 something. I was like WTF! And im assuming that, that is the amount of the tip i "supposed" to leave.

I mean...Are they allowed to do that by law? Can they get in trouble for for doing that? (because it kinda like them singing and taking out money from my account without my permision, you know? that's how I see it.)
Should I go back to the restaurant and get my money back? I should have called them to ask what that was about.
I know it's only like $4 but it's still money.

Tenant moved out owing rent and trashing the place. Only place available to contact him is at his place of employment. Is it legal to contact him there?

I don’t ask this as a question meant to inflame, but rather to get to understand the ideas opposing this. Those who oppose gay marriage say it threatens marriage. Yet, as a married (happily so) heterosexual woman who firmly supports gay marriage, I can’t quite understand HOW exactly that would be true. If you are heterosexual, knowing gay people are getting married isn’t going to stop you from getting married is it? It’s not going to turn you gay. So how exactly does it weaken marriage? What is the actual logical course of this line of thinking?

I worked for compannies that put me up and sent me around the country. Had my drivers license revoked for a sixty dollar speeding ticket which my exboss did not pay as promised. Va. suppended my licesence. To get it back I need to get a Birth citifficate from N.J. they will not release one with out possitive proff of whom I am do to the fact thats where the terriost got their false ID. Now I'm Homeless lost everything or had it stolen. Thanks to a kind lady I can stay for a little while and she's finding out that with out an Id I cannot leagaly work.in the U.S. The state can pull up My picture id on the computer from 1985 on up but won't. N.J. Va. just say .it's to bad catch 22 I can't work take a bus plane can't get a motel or even stay in most shelters Who also have tried and failed. Hell even a Lt. colonel's of an Atlanta police deparment could help me. I've been arrested twice for holding a sign say need work but it's only been three years and I'm tired.

I had a car accident and I have a back injury resulting from this. i have had some time off work. It states in my contract that I have 65 days paid sick but I took 18 and then my boss said I had to use my holiday instead. Is this right?

How on earth can we punish people by doing to them as they did to others? By killing murderers, we are sinking down to thier level. It makes no sense and I believe that we should stop killing people. The judical system does not own peoples' lives and should not control if people live or die.What do you think?

Or, does smoking pot lead to domestic violence? Probably not, but alcohol does.

Either make them both illegal, or legalize marijuana.

A federal agent along with a Yuma, Az. police officer, told a Superior Court Judge that I was seen on video leaving a casino with a stolen purse. There is no video on me leaving a casino with a stolen purse or any purse and further the idividual that did leave the casino with a stolen purse admits to the police that she took it. Yet, a search warrant was issued for my home based on a lie. Could this be considered malicious prosecution?

This boy I know has been beaten up 5 times because he does not want to be a part of a gang in his neighbour-hood. It happens in school and in his community. I am feeling a bit helpless. I don't know how to help his family. Moving isnt always an option and like the new motto 'Snitches get stitches', he's been getting stitches. Where's the JUSTICE!!!

I was reading a book and came across this situation... a man was poisoned, then as he was dying, someone else shot him.

I was working in constuction,whin my safty lanyard was intentionally unhooked by some one who didnt even work whith me as i was 100 feet in the air and i was balanced on a 4 inch beam.Luckily i didnt fall at the time,and im ok.But whin i reported this to supervsion, it was pass off, as is would have delayed the construction and may have gotten the person responsable fired.I was so upset at the total disregard for my safty,and now the cover up of the afair,that i quit my job.
And now i need to know who to talk to ,or how to take action?Thanks

Hi, I am 17 years in the state of Texas and I was charged with a Class A misdemeanor yesterday. It was Theft for $500 to $1500. I do not know when my court date is yet, but I am not sure in hpw much trouble I am. I have heard I could do up to 3 years in prison. I really need some help since I'm not that kind of person. I had to file bankruptcy a couple years earlier due to medical bills that were related to this incident. Now I am worried that my settlement will be seized if I report it as earned income by the court. Is there any legal way for me to keep this money with or without having to report it as income? Are there any consequences for not reporting it as earned income? Is it true that the income isn't really earned unless you cash it yourself in your name only? What should I do?

There have been several, numerous times I have come home and smelled gas. The leak has to be coming from our gas stove as it is the only indoor appliance we have that uses gas. I have notified my landlord in writing and verbally numerous times to repair it, but he has made no effort at all to check into it. The gas company has said they can send a service tech out to check and fix it, but we will have to pay the bill. We feel like the leak is making us ill and are wondering what we should do? Please Help!!
