But who owned the home? Did they own it, or was it public housing? This makes a significant difference.

If it was public housing, then the government owns it and has the right to make conditions for being able to live there.

If it was their own home, then the government has no right, no authority to say anything.

Of course the city have no rights in interferring in the others right, its none of their business to interfer into others personal life. But you should remember one thing, the 20/20 couple have kids. So think about the future of those kids.

atleast keeping the kids in their mind, they should get married. You know, life without the parents is horrible.

No thats total BS. Does it only apply to people with kids or anyone? Because I'm pretty sure that a conservative city like that wouldn't want male/male or female/female roommates to get married.

Marriage clarifies responsibility for whatever children might develop out of long term cohabitation...the marriage initiatives out there are an effort to further shorten the welfare rolls however humanly possible...

Nope. It's none of the Government's business whether or not people get married.

That's lame! I'd be p*ssed if the gov't tried to stick it's nose in my personal life. I personally don't think the gov't should have a say in any part of anyone's personal life. All power currupts...

I didn't see it. I'm quite sure that would be quickly overturned, the cities don't have the right.
