I didn't know much about it but I saw an episode of Fronline that filled me in. There is Oil in the Sudan and the Chinese have bought the govt there. The Sudan Govt is supplying viscious arab bandits with weapons and support to do the worst things you can imagine to the indigenous African tribes there and mostly killing villages of them at a rate of about 6,000 killings per month. This has been going on since the early nineties. The UN has talked about it but done nothing until this year. My thoughts were the least someone could do would be to arm the Africans.

Presidential powers (signing statements that negate the actual bill he is signing, warrantless domestic wiretaps etc.) since he only has a short time left in office and any Democrat who is elected President would benefit from these same powers?

Doesn't this lead to the conclusion that opposition to these powers originates from a genuine concern about the preservation of our Constitution?

I just saw a story on CNN about a Saudi woman who was gang raped. The result; she was sentenced to 6 months in prison and 200 lashes. Why is the West is so obsessed with portraying Islam as a positive force in the world? Does the rhetoric match reality? I know that there are all kinds of Muslims (devout, lapsed, practicing, in name only, etc.), but it seems to me, as a casual observer, that the more devout the Muslim, the more likely he is to be backwards and dangerous. Just look at the Middle East; by and large, it is fascist, autocratic or theocratic, women are subjugated and minorities persecuted. Islamic countries are rife with poverty and have been for centuries. Would any of you apologetics who are going to respond to this posting calling me a racist (confusing a religious ideology with a race) really choose to live in Riyad over the US? It seems to me that the Muslim world is a lot like 15th century Spain; backwards and cruel. Why pretend otherwise?

Let's say that my sister has protected all her assets in a trust and listed me as her trustee. Ok, she dies and then I guess that probate won't step in since all her assets are in a trust of some kind. I have to divide up her assets and give them to whomever she specifies in her will. Is that all I have to do regarding her assets or will the IRS, and the goverment and probate come after me for something?

So this is my situation, I'm almost done with my associate of arts degree, and now that I'm going to a University they require that I choose a major so my classes can assist my career goals. I'm pretty set on joining the military as an officer when I finish, but I can't decide what exactly I would like to do in the military.

I would really like to be a co-pilot in some type of combat aircraft, such as a navigator/WSO in a jet or an apache.

Can you recommend some guidance to meet the requirements for such goals? I've spoke to recruiters and they just want me to enlist right away without a clue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I saw the story of a Texas man shooting dead two criminals robbing his neighbors house. He has been charged with murder, which I don't understand. This was a very nice area where two ghetto punks broke into a house and started taking things. This man deserves a medal for standing up for not only his neighbor, but for his environment. What has come of this society where we cannot protect our homes or our families. What if those two criminals had tied up the family that they were robbing and were going to kill them once they finished the job?

I think no matter what, it was right he had to go to war, they bombed us, you can't just let that go, that is like a real offense, but I just think he did not know how to lead or have an end plan that backfired, but I don't believe in war, but there really was no other choice....what do you think?

I did the $100 a month option before they changed it so you could pay $150 a month for 150% of the payout. So what's the maximum payout that I can get?

Every day I wake up turn on the computer or T.V. to find out what's going on in the world. Almost every day I see some one has put another restrictions on our life. Hell, now Sesame Street is under fire, jeez people stop putting fault in every one else's hands. If you think it's a show you don't want your children to watch don't let them. I don't allow my kids to watch cartoon network or Nickelodeon, but this is America you have choices I'm not going to force the law makers to ban those show I don't like I just turn the channel. If I don't like what some one said I either give my opinion or don't listen, Again this is a free country we have a choice, use the choice and stop taking civil liberties from every one else. The Pilgrims came here to take control of their religion, not take religion out of their lives. They came here so that every one here could believe what they thought was right, not what they where told to believe. Now if I believe differently than you do let me do that, Please.
