Generally you go straight to your next training command, whether "A" school or apprenticeship training. After that, you are eligible for leave before reporting to your permanent duty station.

After boot camp you go straight to your "A" school wherever that is located. You will get to spend time with your family on base after the ceremony and then the next day you are on a bus going across the street to NTC or off to the airport to fly to your school. After you are all done with "A" school then you get to take leave in route to your first real command.

after pass in review you go to A school. No leave is authorized at this point. after A school, you can usually take a couple of weeks before reporting to your duty station.

You have to report to A school after first liberty. Depending on how long your school is you will either get a leave in the middle or after school. You probably want to have your loved ones come to your graduation.
Thanks for serving.

Sometimes, you go directly to whatever school you got. Then you go home at Christmas.
Or sometimes, you go home directly after bootcamp.
Sometimes, you go to the FLEET ( a ship or station) and get a month vacation after a year at work.
Depends on YOU.
Did you get a guaranteed school? If you didn't you will be going to the fleet-wherever the Navy needs you-not home.
Did you impress your CO?
Are you happy?
Good luck

they normally either give you time off at home then send you into more training or they send you straight into training and then you get a small break. They normally give you a bonus for the second one. it all depends on when you are looking at being deployed.

Sometimes you get sent directly to your A school. Some people chose to take some leave before going.

When I graduated in 92 people who were going to A schools got to go home on leave. People that had apprenticeships had to go directly to school. Reserves were allowed to go home also.

On About.com, it was said that if your A school is not immediately available when you graduate, you can get 2 weeks leave.
