Most importantly, and most correctly -- A.

The UK and France were considering supporting the confederacy, but after the Battle of Antietam, and especially due to Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation, the Europeans backed out because they could not be seen as supporting the southern system of slavery.

Richmond didn't fall until 1865, so B is false. And while Antietam was a slaughter pen, they didn't lose half of their army; not even half the Army of Northern Virginia, so C is false.

The most interesting fact about the end of the Civil War is that has never ended. Lee surrendered the Army of Northern Virginia. The Confederate Government just went into hiding and never signed surrender papers. So technically the Civil War is still ongoing.
