One thing the liberal leaning folks are good at is taking criticism, looking honestly at the results of our actions, admitting mistakes, correcting the behavior and trying to do better the next time?

Where as the conserative half of our society has, by nature, difficulty with this process? Would they would be more likely to 'defend the old guard'>

I have yet to meet an american or legal immigrant who agrees with the above statement.

"This mantra is mercilessly bandied about by illegal immigration supporters and echoes throughout the halls of Congress and the White House whenever the topic comes up. What is never mentioned, however, is that the illegal aliens are artificially depressing compensation and that illegal aliens are the only ones who will do the work at such low wages. In actual fact, illegal immigration distorts the law of supply and demand in a capitalistic society. Additionally it is grossly hypocritical to want to raise the minimum wage on one hand while the other hand winks at illegal aliens working at far below prevailing wages."

When Kevin Rudd gave his speech after John Howard conceded victory, he mentioned working closely in the future with the US, Asia and Europe, but didn't mention Britain specifically.

Was this just a mistake? Did he just lump Britain in with Europe/EU? Could it have been a snub?

What do you think?

Hello,

friends, i have travelled to europe to many countries many times and discovered that "illegal human trafficking" is on full boom in punjab.

What we see here in newspapers is a tip of an iceberg.

We all need to come forward and make an platform of awareness. So that people can adopt legal ways to travel to Europe and get settle there.

Baby dolls that had been amputated of arms and legs. Upon seeing this, and sickened by it since many of the peace-marchers haven't the first tactile clue of conflict, myself and a few friends began to wing our own projectiles of expression: oranges and eggs.

One of the bird embryos happened to spread the contents of it's genetic code on the face of a rather grimey looking hippy; patchouli-kid immediately hit the bricks crying.

Call it a 'counter-protest'.

The police seemed to concur by not only ignoring our volley but also by escorting the stunned leftists into a waiting patrol car.

Now, would you agree the American way still works?

DETROIT - In another blow to the Motor City's tarnished image, Detroit pushed past St. Louis to become the nation's most dangerous city, according to a private research group's controversial analysis, released Sunday, of annual FBI crime statistics

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071118/ap_on_re_us/dangerous_cities

The story goes on to say how some commie-lib organization (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marxist_criminology) decried the study as "an irresponsible misuse" of crime data"

Lol, "misuse"? Yea, how DARE they tell the public which city has the most crime! (might harm some Democrat mayor's feelings, you know)

The useful idiots at CNN piled on with "Experts say 'most dangerous city' rankings twist numbers"

http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/11/18/dangerous.cities.ap/index.html

"Experts", eh? Maybe the REAL reason the Left has suddenly become so fearful about studying data patterns of violent crimes is related to this:

Media reports of the day listed the Communist PLA woes of the early 1990's due to Communism's historically proven failed economics and a nearly bankrupt central government. Boots for every other soldier, guns for half their men with only 5 BULLETS PER GUN, no real navy and precious little effective air forces. Command was antiquated as were communications, nuclear capacity and field armor with moral tanked due to nonpayment of salaries throughout the conscripted service of the PLA. The student uprising of 1989 by unarmed citizens seeking liberty nearly defeated the PLA but was brutally repelled with an excess of 10000 murdered students in the streets of China's capital. Point is the people nearly won. 1994 saw the realization of the dream of capitalizing from tyranny while undermining freedom and avoiding living wages by a small group of Arkansas traitors when Clinton, acting as a WMT lawyer while President of USA, extended "favored nation" trading status to the enemy of liberty.

to concince people that our economy is so bad? Headlines like the one Yahoo news used must not be working....the stores are crammed....Why are the people ignoring their doom and gloom headlines?

"Despite economy", malls and stores jammed
The "aggressive tactics" — "bigger discounts" and "expanded hours" like midnight openings — "apparently worked" Friday. Based on early reports, Macy's Inc., Toys "R" Us, K-B Toys Inc. and others that pushed big price cuts, reported bigger crowds for the early morning bargains than a year ago. Target Corp. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc., said they were also pleased with the shopper turnout.
