depends what crime - selling drugs, serious blackmail, murder - YES, a little bit of shoplifting hmmm maybe - if they had a good reason then No (eg robbing food cos can't afford it)
i like to think i dont have friends that would do that kinda stuff
PS any minute someone will assume that you are really asking people what you should do and with start amaturishly psychoanalysing you

I'd grass a mate for any crime. I tend to think of the victims first. What would THEY want?
