Should the german people be blamed for the wrongs of their leader during WWII?

Yeah, but I think that, what with being decimated by industrial strength weaponry, having their cities destroyed with high explosive and/or incendiary bombs, and enduring years of physical and economic hardship afterwards, maybe the Germans have paid the price for their boo boos.

Unless you were thinking of maybe rounding them up in little camps and gassing them to death or something.

Yes. The citizens either elect their leaders or allow them to control a country.

If thats the case Americans are to blame for the death its goverment has caused even though many americans do not agree with the war.
Citizens really have no power. its just an illusion.

To whatever degree the people actually have the ability to control that government once it has taken power and has begun to abuse its power, yes.
