I took my car in to get it checked out because it was leaking some coolant. All I asked him to do was tell me what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix it. Now he is telling me that he has fixed the problem and I owe him almost $500.

Do I have to pay for repairs that I never verbally authorized nor signed a repair order for?

We have a girl who did color on a lady she was happy with it when she left and paid for it and even tipped the gal. The next day she tells the girl that she is not happy with her hair and she feels like she was overcharged and that a more expensive salon would not have charged her as much which is not true she would have paid more she had multiple services.

She came back to the salon another girl offered to fix her color and fixed the color like she asked her to do. This girl insisted on getting part of her money back and the new girl refunded part of her money.

Well the check she wrote us to begin with she canceled altogether plus she took our $50 when we called her about it she told us she went to the more expensive salon and they told her that her color was a mess and it would take a long time to fix her hair color. Now she liked this hair color when she left for the second time and we did as she asked.
Now she says she should sue the girl that did her hair to begin with.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH EQUALITY? I just want everyone to be treated equally. No one is superior. No one is inferior. Everyone works together for the benifit of society, thus the government evenly distrubutes resources to everyone, while the government is under scrutiny to avoid taking too much. Likewise to ensure everyone is working. My last question didn't get many positive responses. But I ask again, why do you disagree with the concept of equality?

ok we was lied 2 bout the reason why we should be in war with iraq.now bush ,rice and chenny are taling the same game bout iran, lol so what they want nuclear energy.for there people we have nuclear bomds so dose russia and china and north korea.we been told that russia will hit us we been told that everybody wants 2 hit the usa with bomds, well bush is the reason why bush is the.In other views, the role is far less dramatic — the Antichrist is simply believed to be a group of individuals as well as organizations, who, for their history of trying to deceive and stifle the faithful, are finally destroyed for all time by God on the day of Armageddon. Gog and Magog are identified as the nations in the four corners of the earth, and their attack is represented as an eschatological crisis after the Millennium, to be vanquished by divine intervention.this is bush all the way he's the 1 that's talking bout ww3 this man will cause the world to end.russia is behind iran, thank u bush

California education, environmental standards, health care and laws are generally different from the rest of the USA. Furthermore, for every dollar that California citizens pay in taxes they only get $.08 in return. I think it makes more sense for California to seek autonomy and succeed from the rest of the USA. I would like to read what others have to say...

Here is my situation. I live in Missouri if that helps you answer my question. I was charged and plead guilty to 2 assault charges and leaving the scene of an accident. I received 16 days in the county jail (serving weekends) and I am almost done with those and 1 year unsupervised probation. While in county lockup, I was charged with trying to smuggle in a tobacco product and a lighter ( a class A misdemeanor) and have a summons to appear in court.

What do you think is the likely amount of jail time or fines I would receive if I plead guilty to the charge?

It seems like he is the only Republican canidate that genuinely shares all of their views. It is quite surprising that Romney is getting any support from Christian Conservatives. He seems to have just recently adopted their views -- how in the world does he not escape from being called a "flipflopper"?

Even though Huckabee is polling about 5-10% in most places, it seems like if Evangelical Christians (who seem to make up 30-40% of the Republican base) threw their support behind Huckabee, either he would win the nomination, or he would very likely be picked as VP candidate.

Police officers are needed in our society everyday. They are very important authorities to everyone. Many people don’t always give officers the respect they deserve. If we didn’t have police officers our society would be very dangerous, even more than it already is. Sometimes though, police take advantage of their authority and gets ideas that they are above the law.
Without police officers there would no order in society whatsoever. There would be crime going unpunished on a daily basis. If people didn’t think here was punishment for their actions they would probably run up and down the streets shooting everyone they passed by. “A police officers job is one of the most important in every community: to keep streets safe and protect citizens from harm”

What steps should be taken by the GoI to make hindi one of the official UN Languages. We all know the numbers, history of hindi and its literature, including the various dialects but can there be a strategy or a phased out plan to make this happen.

Impressing too much on use of english coupled with looking down upon the use of hindi in day to day communication is one of the biggest reasons for the current status of hindi. hindi has in many ways become simply 'unacceptable' in international arena of politics, business, communication and financial transaction. only people who cannot speak english, generally converse in hindi. even in the government offices the culture has changed a lot, but for some files/ documents which continue to be in the earlier scripts.

The penetration of ICT through e-gov, computerization of records etc though currently observes the use of local language but the new generation is increasingly going away from it. though dainik jagaran still remains the newspaper with largest circulation, at more than 2.5 times the time of times of india circulation (best for english newspapers)

i think there should be nation wide activity in this direction to be led by the government, media education and other departments. there have been some initiatives but these could only fructify if supported by a wider audience. e.g. i saw an online petition which was signed by not even 10K indians across the globe. the petition was for making hindi an official UN Language.
http://www.petitiononline.com/0091/petition.html

there has been a very good initiative by some religious and spiritual group in Gujarat, which focusses on the use of hindi in elementary education. the books series by the name "learn with fun" basically focusses on use of hindi in mathematics.

there is a good article on most influential languages in the world and the method for calculating this influence. although this article doesn't support hindi very much but i believe the rating of hindi as a language based on these criteria must have changed a lot.

Talking about Iraq of course. Could it be fact, the liberal media doesn't want good news from Iraq. They actually hate it. God bless our troops, great job. Iraq can and will be a victory for democracy. Sorry it won't be a hot topic for you democrats any more, the tide is indeed turning. Still a lot of work to do, but the future looks bright for the Iraqi people.

Ok , Please dont judge me by what i am about to tell you . Please rember that this is only a friend of mine who begged me to ask this question .

OK now heres the thing , my friend is in a rock band and is paying 8,000 $ to make a music video for thier song . Anyways , its a political song and its mostly about the us government . Now rember , just because hes my friend doesnt mean i aprove of this video . OK well he wants to have a scene in the video where he is holding up a flag he set on fire . He has another scene where he sets 10 , 1 dollar bills on fire . He also has a scene where he is dressed as a general in the army and he is shot in the head ( im pretty sure thats what he said ) and he has a picture of president bush which he will shoot with darts and then set on fire as well . And he wanted to know if he can be sued or taken to jail for doing this in his video . He said that hes not going to pay 8,000$ for a video that might land him behind bars .
