Here is my situation. I live in Missouri if that helps you answer my question. I was charged and plead guilty to 2 assault charges and leaving the scene of an accident. I received 16 days in the county jail (serving weekends) and I am almost done with those and 1 year unsupervised probation. While in county lockup, I was charged with trying to smuggle in a tobacco product and a lighter ( a class A misdemeanor) and have a summons to appear in court.

What do you think is the likely amount of jail time or fines I would receive if I plead guilty to the charge?

TELL HIM THE TRUTH. YOU HAVE A BAD SMOKING HABIT AND NEEDED THE CIGARETTES. YOU WERE NOT THINKING ABOUT GETTING CAUGHT. JUST WITH DRAWLS YOU WENT THROUGH THE LAST TIME YOU WERE IN FOR THE WEEKEND.
AT LEAST IT WILL GET A LAUGH AND A LITTLE THOUGHT ABOUT IT?
MAYBE NOT ANYTIME AND AN ADMONISHMENT ONLY.

probably a little more than smoking in a public enclose area here. it'll probably be a fine of at least a couple hundred. either that or more probation/community service.

hope you got a good lawyer.
