I would support it but other groups would call it racist or say all TV is "white entertainment." Sure there are lots of double standards!

It's the same as High Schools will have various clubs that are for Hispanics, African Americans, etc. If they has a "White Club," what an uproar there would be!

It just isn't necessary. I understand what you're trying to say, and to an extent I agree that it is a double-standard, but most of the people I see on television are white (although it's become less so over time). That being said, what would be the purpose of a white entertainment television station, other than to cause unnecessary conflict?

You have to understand, this double standard in no way compares to the oppression of minorities within our society throughout history. Honestly, to complain about the "political correctness" is absolutely ridiculous.

Almost everything on TV IS white entertainment television with a few tokens thrown in for good measure. I wouldn't support it or rail against it. I'd just think what I do right now. That it's a result of whiny white people who aren't feeling quite as entitled as they used to. Poor babies.

The double standards are unfair in my opinion, but not so much with television channels. There probably needs to be more channels for minorities actually. I think the double standard is irritating when it comes to getting college scholarships, finding a job, etc. And, at the rate this country is going, the Caucasians are soon going to be the minority...

A million times this question has been asked. Look, a white man owns BET. BET isn't excluding whites, just focussing on programming that interests us. Ever go to nielsen ratings and look at the demographics? Notice that blacks watch completely different shows than whites? Yeah, it happens. We don't watch Seinfeld, sorry, isn't funny to most of us. BET exist because whites refused to put blacks on television or broadcast shows that interested us. Be mad at whites for excluding us in their programming. Not us for responding.

When there are 100 channels on television that don't even poll the black demographic for programming choices why do you complain about us having a couple channels that acknowledges our programming interests?

We will see White Entertainment Television when we see White Student Unions, Ivory Magazine, etc. It's only racist if we single ourselves out, as long as we acknowledge the giant chip "African-Americans" ( am I allowed to call them that this week?) continue to carry around on their shoulders it will continue to be acceptable for them to have these fundamentally RACIST organizations, publications, etc.

i agree with u 100% it seems like everything whites do is wrong but then if some one of another race does it, its because we are all racist. which is most of the time wrong. i am sooo sick of everything having to do with race though. suck it up and deal with it. i dont care
