We have a girl who did color on a lady she was happy with it when she left and paid for it and even tipped the gal. The next day she tells the girl that she is not happy with her hair and she feels like she was overcharged and that a more expensive salon would not have charged her as much which is not true she would have paid more she had multiple services.

She came back to the salon another girl offered to fix her color and fixed the color like she asked her to do. This girl insisted on getting part of her money back and the new girl refunded part of her money.

Well the check she wrote us to begin with she canceled altogether plus she took our $50 when we called her about it she told us she went to the more expensive salon and they told her that her color was a mess and it would take a long time to fix her hair color. Now she liked this hair color when she left for the second time and we did as she asked.
Now she says she should sue the girl that did her hair to begin with.

She says she is going to return our 50 bucks but she has not so far. She told the girl who did her hair first that she did not have the money in the account to cover the check anyway. I don't know what to think. Any ideas

She sounds like a con artist. Just let it go and just refuse her as a customer in your salon. Who knows who else she has done this to?? You might want to ask around and see if she is a problem client, they are out there!!!OR You can also take her to Small Claims Court for cancelling the cheque, she can't do that and plus she dosen't have any proof of what her hair was like before that. Some people want to try one colour and then decide they don't like it and just want it redone for free. Keep the cancelled cheque for proof and also your partner will have to testify. Good Luck!!!

First of all, kiting a check is a crime so you should file charges against her with your local police. That should wake her up.

Next you can file in small claims court to obtain a judgment for the services.

My advice is sue her for the money she owes you.
No judge would take her seriously given that you tried to make restitution. Plus the fact that she canceled the check.... She is taking you for a ride. She knew she couldn't cover the check when she wrote it.

Get your money from her.....
