Sure, communism and socialism are evil, but do you ever miss the excitement and intrigue of the Cold War? How about the propaganda via shortwave broadcasts? Checkpoint Charlie? Spetsnaz? Spy stories? I'm not trying to belittle the sufferings and evil; just marvelling at how interesting it all was. The Warsaw Pact militaries had reached an amazing level of power and skill; they would have been a formidable opponent to the West if WWIII had broken out.

the right just denies it all together. while the left pracitces man-made global warming like a sunday at church.

ignorance by the right is just stupid.

religion by the left is akin to worshiping an invisible god in the sky. with the promise that man made the mess, man can fix the mess.

any way, back to reality. why is or rather WHAT is driving the reluctance to disclose to the public the earth's eccentricity and the orbit?

is mass hysteria the biggest dilemma? the fact that in-fact global warming is NOT man made and there is simply NOTHING we can do.

for some reason this man made promise is proliferating rather than the unbearable truth. the Milankovitch cycles are most likely getting the best of earth as we end the recent ice age.

too bad, and yes it is fightening. i can understand why "scientist" are ordered NOT to receal and discuss the truth of the rising temps as earth changes its orbit.

2 years ago when I was 14 I moved in with my Dad because my mom was abusive to me. I now live in the city and go to a private school, yet I am uncomfortable with both. I love my Dad, but I can't stand to live with him (strict rules, etc.) I have a job and an 18 year old brother that would be glad to live with me. Is emancipation the only way to go, or is there an easier way?

OK, I change the color of my hair somewhat frequently... not too often, but like once a year maybe (little more often than most ppl, I guess).
Well, I live on a military base and the gate guards need to check my ID everytime I come home. My ID looks exactly like me, it doesn't misrepresent my looks, only my hair is dark brown in it (it was taken 2 1/2 yrs ago, and it doesn't expire until 1 yr from now) and its blonde now.
The gaurds always stare at it for a long time... and they say "I don't know..." and once I had my glasses on and my hair up and the gate guard freaked out... "This don't even look like 'er" and I showed her my other (dependent, non-work) ID, but my hair was light brown there, and my license and she needed someone else to come and look at it... Ugh.
Then tonight a gate gaurd said I needed to get a new ID b/c my hair color was different. OK, every time I need to go in to the place to get my ID and spend litterally all day there (there's always a 2-3 hour wait)...

Child molesters and murderers are the same to me. The one's who survive child abuse have not been murdered physically because we walk and talk like everyone else but our abusers have killed us deep inside. We no longer are the same as we were before we were violated. We stop seing ourselves as whole because we are so disconnected from our very essence. Life becomes a constant reminder of what we are not and what was taken from us. We live in shame and fear that is unknown to anybody that sleeps safe every night. Regarless of who you are ,results are still the same, loss of the self. Your life will then be a journey of endless battles and if your lucky enough you mighy be reborn into a survivor who is stronger than ever but the cost is sometimes to high to pay. Maybe someday someone will breath life back into our empty souls and the sun will shine upon us. Maybe someday we will be free of our horrible memories. Let's stop these murderers and protect our children. If we dont who will?

note: these traps arent actually allowed to hurt anyone (as they are our instructors) but would like to to annoy them and warn us during the night of "attacks"

Our town is preparing to vote for new council members.
I just found out one council person wants another to be re-elected and is helping this person financially in order for that person to have the better chance to be re-elected.
There is something that smells rotten with this and it's driving me nuts to not be able to clearly put my finger on what this could be called and if there is something I should be trying to do about it.
I do have a personal interest in this since this person giving the money is related and it makes me feel sick inside, thinking there is something illegal in some way with this set-up.

Thanks in advance!!!!

When fighting a fire...it seems that the most common cause of death in the line of duty is when the roof collapses?

Correct me if I am wrong.

Why would you get on the roof of a burning building knowing that eventually it will collapse?
