It's when the criminal justice system -- the court, the prosecutor, and often the defense attorney -- treats the cases in a very superficial way, just looking at the basic charges and coming to a quick -- and standardized -- response on how to handle it.

It is when the individual details are largely ignored for the sake of expediency and efficiency.

No one's taking 65 percent of anyone's income. I don't know where you came up with that figure. Second, you come up with a very poor example of a person on welfare. When my family went on for two years after my father died, we didn't have any government housing, nor were any assembly-line kids popped out. A little state assistance to help ("help" not "get") us through a rough patch, that was all. I don't know why you feel so persecuted. I go to work and pay taxes, too.
