I know this question has been asked here before, but I would like to take it a step further. I want to know if you think violence is ever a proper course of action. Think about it on many different levels too. For example, on a personal scale if you were being robbed? Or how about on a global scale with war? Or, if talking about war, is there a difference between guerillas fighting for their freedom and soldiers in the armed forces forced to fight whether or not they agree with the cause?

I really just want your thoughts on violence. Is violence ever justified? If so, when? Or perhaps just as important, when is it not justified?

Your thoughts?

Democrats campaigning in 2006 said if they got control of the house they would;

Impeach Bush
Get rid of the Wire Taps and Patriot Act
Challenge the 'Illegal' War and Make Cheney Testify
End the War and Bring the Troops Home

Were these voters 'Koolaide Drinkers' or did they actually believe the democrats would deliever on thier promises?

If someone was born by Catholic parents, christened and even had a communion, but wishes as an adult to resign from being a Catholic, does this person need to take any " legal" steps to do this? I heard that just stopping going to church and not believing is not enough, that the person is still on a list as a Catholic.

Why? What are the core values that you admire in those countries?

1. Is this ideal country a democracy? or is your choice a combination of democracy with a touch of socialism?
2. What are the laws based on? A constitution? Is it a kingdom?
3. What are the religious freedoms allowed? Can you worship the god of your choice? or are you frowned upon if you do not worship in the recommended churches.

The State of Washington has Caucuses (Open) & Primary. What does that mean? What is Open and Closed referring to?

I noticed that the ability to change your "Party registration" has ended for 2 states and is ending this month for another, and 3 more are ending next month.

If you are Not registered with the right Party for the person you want to vote for, you will Not be able to vote for them in the Primary.

You can only vote for him in the main November '08 election IF your candidate gets on the ballot in the Republican or Democrat Primary - if your candidate is in one of these two Parties.

I am sick of hearing we need illegals they cut in line, wave a Mexican flag, demand ,and say bad things about America why are they here money and that's it in the past immigrants came to be part of America not say things like this is our land and your all racist . they claim to be the back bone of America and excuse me while I giggle anyway they show pride for a place that hasn't done anything for their country or people how can they be the back bone of anything why don't they take all their hard work and race superiority and do something with their country instead of clinging on to uncle Sam's coat tails claiming they have something to do with this great country what has Mexico ever done ? They need to fight for their own rights and grow up and quit looking for hand outs ! This has nothing do with their color of skin it is a statement that Mexico can take care of their own but chooses not to and we have to pay the bill for their corruption and its time for a few good men in Mexico

I asked my teacher, and she said because of 'freedom of choice'. Then I asked why people don't have the freedom to do things like pot and meth. She said because they kill people. Well smoking kills people, too, so why IS it even legal? I live in Illinois, and starting in 2008 you can't smoke in any public restaurant, on the streets, or while working. Still, people can smoke on their own property. So why IS it legal if it can be just as deadly as other illegal drugs?

I was arrested for the first time in my life and it was pretty overwhelming to me. i didnt know what jail was going to be like, and i knew that i was going to be kicked out my house. so i said "jeeze i might as well kill myself." so it was the cops duty to send me to the nearest psych ward for evaluation. it was a 5150. later that night i talked to the doctor at the psych ward and she knew i wasnt really going to kill myself. it was late and she said i will let you stay the night since it's already midnight and you can be on your way in the morning. does this mean that the doctor had rescinded or discharged my 5150 so it wouldnt go on my record? cause i know that the psychiatrist i talked to is the only one who could have rescinded my 5150. now, if the 5150 is on my record, what are the steps to expunge it? all answers are most appreciated.
