you are being worked like a slave; there are definite laws against that. no employer can demand that any employee work 7 days a week, 10 to 15 hours a day. it is against the law
you need a good attorney and another job.

well, you could call your parents, your relatives, your neighbors, your church and ask for help. Check to see if your state has a "work at will" law. And think back to see if you've had any problems on the job that they may be looking for a reason to let you go, or maybe they really do have a need for you to work on Sundays. Sometimes people can say no, but then when you need a favor they will say no. Or you may get passed over for a raise in title or money.

uncertain of what state you're in, yet in purely approximately all states you may nicely be fired for purely reason or no reason. in the event that they incredibly need to stress you to paintings on Sunday you could play it as the two a non secular conflict or a loss of youngster care. in line with the place you're and how gentle the region is to undesirable exposure it relatively is recommended to flow with the non secular reason. Kinda relies upon on your assessment of how plenty traction that gets the place you're. all and sundry has day care issues at one time or yet another and all and sundry works too many hours and then tries to be a good make certain. So in short i would not flow down that highway except you think of it relatively is going to collect sufficient sympathy from the community information shops and so on. hi - this could nicely be a hardball game. in the event that they actually won't be able to furnish help to with your schedule then you certainly incredibly must be arranged to be a foul witch. it relatively is purely the way issues are.

I think Shonetore is right. As far as I know, there aren't any laws restricting the maximum amount of hours that you can work. If you didn't specify when you were hired that you wouldn't be available on certain days or for certain times, then I'm afraid there's little you can do, unless you belong to a Union. If you belong to a union, file a grievance with them.
Now, if you told them that you have limited availability, then that might be a term of your written or implied employment contract. But that'll be a difficult argument to make unless you have strong proof that they clearly violated a term/condition of your employment. If you could pull it off, then you could sue for damages and request reinstatement, although a court might not give you reinstatement.

You have two choices. Work when they schedule you, or quit.
Your employer has a business to run, your personal problems ared your problems, not his.Finding someone to watch your child is your responsibility. Where is the child's father?

why would you have a baby when you can't spend time with it? I can't stand that people selfishly make babies and then put the kids in daycare to be raised by someone else. you should just give your kid up for adoption so it'll have a good chance of having a stable childhood with parents who spend time with it or quit your damn job and find one that is less demanding.
