I know this question has been asked here before, but I would like to take it a step further. I want to know if you think violence is ever a proper course of action. Think about it on many different levels too. For example, on a personal scale if you were being robbed? Or how about on a global scale with war? Or, if talking about war, is there a difference between guerillas fighting for their freedom and soldiers in the armed forces forced to fight whether or not they agree with the cause?

I really just want your thoughts on violence. Is violence ever justified? If so, when? Or perhaps just as important, when is it not justified?

Your thoughts?

Violence should be the last resort but sometimes it is the only option. If I or one of mine was attacked I would use violence to protect them if I could not stop the assailant any other way.
Lintz: I don't think that Jessica Lunsford used violence, by all account she was compliant with John Evander Couey.

Police found the body of Jessica Lunsford buried in a shallow grave under the back porch of a mobile home less than 150 yards from her home on March 18, 2005, a day after a convicted sex offender told authorities that he had killed the nine-year-old.

I don't think that your policy worked to well for her.

In the present day context, with survival of the fittest being the Mantra, offence is the best form of defence. After we have assured ourselves a victory of sorts, then we can always cleanse, repent, apologize, make amends or whatever to soothe the raw nerves of the one who has lost. But my purpose of keeping my mind one up is what is of paramount importance for me - because, the world taught me this lesson.
I showed the other cheek when somebody slapped me and he gave me a harder slap. How about you? Want to show me the other cheek?
