thank goodness it's legal....too bad it's being used as a form of birth control, but i guess a comforting point is that girls who get too many abortions might have trouble conceiving later in life.... nonetheless, i'd probably never have one, but i support the choice aspect of it wholeheartedly.

I am sad for the girl (or woman) who thinks she needs an abortion. As a mother and a mother to be, I can tell you there is no greater feeling in the world than having that litle critter inside you. I am blessed to be able to support my family and would hope all women get to be so blessed. Men can't ever know what it is like to be pregnant-yet, they are making the rules about what is right and wrong.
Although I personally would not choose to have an abortion, it should be legal and regulated for safety.

i'm pro-choice and pro-life. In other words: I can empathize with both sides. A part of me says that keeping it legal will mean I endorse killing. Another part says - hey, you know darn well that if you became pregnant with an unwanted baby, you wonder if you would partake in wiping the slate clean - to put in a marketing terminology. Some days I am 90/10 and other days, it could be the opposite. So, all-in-all, I'm somewhat out of it and I think that is normal nowadays.

I've talked to some who have done it and while they feel somewhat regretful, they also feel like it was the right thing to do at that time.

I'm still on the fence but think that it makes me really open-minded - to the point of not being able to be firm on what I think about abortion.

I think it is morally wrong, but feel like we live in a place that says we are allowed to make that decision for ourselves.

Every right we have in this country can be be and frequently is abused. This is a good example - prostitutes using abortion as birth control. That, however, doesn't mean that rights should be taken away from everyone (should everyone lose their license because some drive drunk?). When facing an unwanted pregnancy, the people influencing the decision should be limited to the woman, her doctor, and - if she chooses - her clergy.

I don't believe in it. I personally would not have an abortion, if for some reason I was pregnant, i'd have the baby and give it up for adoption and hope that a great family got the baby.

The most wonderful gift God give to a married couple is sex.The purpose of sex is procreation not for fun as how the west look at it..God created life..God is the owner of Life and only God has the right to take it away..If you read the bible, the punishment of women who aborted their own blood and flesh is a lifetime of insanity and is cursed, also the punishment of women who love to show the obscene parts of their body is insanity and is cursed,I dont wonder why a lot of our young women now are suffering from major depression to suicidal,Book of Wisdom. If you want to be cursed by the creator then go for what is common.Looking at these poisonous Hollywood stars who are half naked, believed me they are insane.the Paris Hilton ,the Britney etc. ,they are cursed. What is common is not moral. Its all about money and politics and the media fooling our women to take off their clothes in public and walk half naked. The medical world says go for abortion, its good for their bank accounts. Some Politicians supports abortion because they are afraid to lose voters, its only status. We used to rationalize that we are only human, yes we are but we are made in the image of God.So behave according to the rules of Gods Kingdom..In every Kingdom theres a rule...No Abortion...You dont like the baby give it to childless couple.Who knows the baby in your womb is the next President of the World...God Bless you and live according to Gods Law.

It's existed since women have been getting pregnant and it will always exist; whether or not middle class and poor women are able to have good medical care if they choose to have one is the issue.

I don't necessarily support it but I do support choice. I know what's best for my family not the government, not some religion (including my own Catholic Church), not some stranger. If my husband and I decided it was best for us, then I'd prefer to be able to have good medical care and not have to go have a hangar or knife shoved.......You get the picture. My father, who was a police officer for 26 years saw both of those situations when he was called to transport 2 women to the hospital. That's why he is a conservative, pro-choice Republican as well.

I, personally would never have an abortion, except when the pregnancy is a risk to my life. I can't tell anyone else what to do with their body.

It is none of my business. It is a private matter to be resolved by the woman who is considering how to respond to a pregnancy.
