Read the entire article and tell me Presidential EOs aren't placed for future use, even when they look benign at the time....

"Reporter banned from secret meeting on selling U.S. assets"

"Why is it that all these PPP and SPP (Security and Prosperity Partnership) meetings are behind closed doors," Corsi asked, "and government officials and their supporters think that's normal? But when investigative reporters want to attend and report on what is being said, we are the ones who get accused of being the conspiracy theorists?"

"Public-private partnerships, or PPPs, were authorized by Executive Order No. 12803 President George H.W. Bush signed on April 30, 1992, clearing federal barriers for cities and states to lease public works infrastructures to private investors."

EXCERPT FROM ARTICLE:
Only 29 percent of Americans gave Bush a positive grade for his job performance, below his worst Zogby poll mark of 30 percent in March. A paltry 11 percent rated Congress positively, beating the previous low of 14 percent in July.

**To repeat what you just read, Bush's approval rating is 29% while Congress is a measly 11%. I fail to understand why Congress' approvall rating is almost 20 pts lower than Bush's.**

Proof of cooperation between Iran and Syria in the proliferation and development of weapons of mass destruction was brought to light Monday in Jane's Defence Weekly, which reported that dozens of Iranian engineers and 15 Syrian officers were killed in a July 23 accident in Syria.

I have been reading for months and months now that one of the BIG problems with the Iraq debacle, and why we "shouldn't" bring home the troops, is that "Iraq won't step up to the plate" and run its own country, and solve its own problems.

Now, with this Blackwater incident, Iraq has, indeed, stepped up to the plate and made an independent decision. They say Blackwater will not be allowed to operate anywhere in Iraq.

Will America respect their decision?

"An Interior Ministry spokesman, Brig. Gen. Abdul Kareem Khalaf, said, "We have revoked Blackwater's license to operate in Iraq. As of now they are not allowed to operate anywhere in the Republic of Iraq. The investigation is ongoing, and all those responsible for Sunday's killing will be referred to Iraqi justice."

****Where is the impeachment trial?****

The greatest crime that could be committed by an elected official in a Representative Democracy is information manipulation and lying! The case has been made that President GW Bush lied to the American people. The charges that President manipulated evidence that sent us to war in Iraq. If these are true allegations and not political maneuvering then were is the impeachment trial? If these allegations are true then it is up to congress to preserve our democracy! If these allegations are true then at the very least there should be an impeachment trial to bring REAL evidence before the American people and take that evidence out of the realm of speculation and, dare I say it, CONSPIRACY THEORY'S!!

**This is the process of our political system!

My question is why celebrities and other high profile people feel Darfur is more important than Iraq? I served a year in Iraq and saw so many Iraqis brutally killing one another based on religion and tribal affiliation. Citizens had to flea homes and villages because violence is so bad in some areas. Is Iraq less important because it was the American invasion that fueled the violence there? Is the violence in Iraq not as important as Darfur?

Why do we act as if we were all just hanging out on 9-11 as the best friend of everyone in the world and suddenly for no reason at all a bunch of Saudi Arabians went nuts and attacked us .

i came out of my therapists office with 30 minutes for a 25 minute drive home to get my kids at the bus stop........when i come out, there is a policeman standing by my car with an elderly man. the policeman reaches down and points to my bumper with his finger and says "he hit you right there".
i looked where he pointed and said, 'well, look i guess its ok, i only have 30 minutes to pick up my kids. the elderly man was shaking and scared and i felt really bad for him and it didn't look like much. the policeman took my name anyway, and i left.
when i get home, 5 minutes later the kids come walking up my drive with part of my molding! i go outside and really take a look to find that it wasn't just that spot on the bumper - he cracked the parking lot light too, broke the molding and now my parking light keeps falling out by its cords!!!
should a policeman bend over, point to a spot and say 'he did this' to begin with????
this happened 18 days ago, do i have any recourse?

We keep hearing about this balance between liberty and security. What gives anyone the right to circumvent the Constitution and the Bill of rights for any reason?

It doesn't say "This Constitution will be null and void if there is a threat to our security.

As Jefferson said if you trade liberty for security you have neither..
