They've filed a friend of the court brief with Minnesota urging them to allow Sen Larry Craig to withdraw his guilty plea - based on the contention that the sting was likely unconstitutional.

Should we rename them the American Conservative Liberties Union?

I'm not talking about immigrates who are trying to come here and live off the taxers or commiting crimes. I'm talking about immigrates how are willing to work hard.

Please don't say "They are coming here to take our jobs away" Thats an excuse..... there are americans (born & rised)who have been on welfare all of their life and are not trying to work.

It paid elderly Union soldiers, wives, and children who could show need, and eventually even paid benefits to Confederates. (Huge mobilization for CW - covered large part of that generation)

It took government tax money and redistributed it - and was a model for Social Security. What say yee, lubbers? Have we been socialist all along or is somebody being misleading about socialism?

that people on this message board spend an inordinate amount of time subjugating their political views to people who will clearly never agree or compromise? What is it about American politics that instead of acting on political agendas we continually try to validate our opinions with people who so clearly disagree with us? What would happen if we just ignored those who are clearly just looking for a brawl and strictly dealt with those that are open to reason? Wouldn't we be better off just ignoring loaded bear baiting questions . . .?

The Iroquois, and others, had a democratic system, laws, trade agreements, and other social advancements that worked fine to keep the peace among regional tribes.
The natives in Mexico had an ancient civilization, which the Spanish destroyed. What might have happened if they hadn't killed the leaders, and enslaved the populace?

B) Think he's innocent
C) Think he's guilty, but was setup
D) Don't give a damn about this insignificant news and tired of the major networks giving it so much coverage.

Obviously my answer would be D. Boy the media sure knows how to tell us a lot without telling us anything now adays.

All in a MEAN tone of voice that it means they'll really do something? I accidentally scraped this lady's new car with my old raggedy beat up car. It was an ACCIDENT. She was parked kind of on the yellow line and I was trying very hard to back out without any problem but I scraped her car a little bit. She was in the car. I got out and told her i was sorry, and I gave her my insurance card, but she wouldn't even roll down the window, she just yelled I'LL SEE YOU IN COURT. Why are people so hateful???? I said I was sorry, gave my insurance, what was I supposed to do? It was a nice car though.
