Yes, they operate in Neverland. They fail to grasp the connection between confiscating and redistributing the pie and the resulting inability to grow the pie through other than short-term, monetary means.

They don't see how the tax burden associated with lifetime support for the jobless caused more people to lose their jobs.

DeAnna we HAVE helped the poor - - - - unemployment is about half its Carter-era level and about half of what it is in Germany and France.

I guess I'm just not seeing "Satan's crackwhore" logic - reducing the extent to which X is forced to support Y, how is that benefiting X at the expense of Y?

That's like saying the Emancipation Proclamation is racist because it benefited Blacks more than Whites....

It's a reaction to the "Robin Hood in Reverse" syndrome that the Bush Administration practices.

~Steal from the Poor to give to the Rich~

Actually it's an offshoot of "Peter Pansyism" because only a Pansy would steal from the Poor.

As far as problems with tax inequalities, I would prefer a fair tax system which would have the same tax percentage rate accrossed the board no matter what level of income. And get rid of tax loopholes that the wealthy use to avoid paying their share of taxes.

Why do conservatives, who largely claim to be Christian, tend to be the least Christ-like of the two parties... but turn around and call liberals Godless? Helping the less fortunate isn't about being Robin Hood. It's about being a good person and caring about your fellow man, and if you can't "get" that, then maybe you need to go seek out your God and ask Him for guidance.

Truth: Conservatives main complaint is that Liberals want to give give give to poor people, take take from the government live on welfare and not be a self made person ... Which is a false talking point, and completely ridiculous. I am liberal, (not really a democrat, but liberal) I own my own business, I take care of myself and my sick brother. I work hard and have never been on welfare a day in my life. So it annoys me to see you ignorant people equate "fair" laws (in regards to taxes) for all people with wanting a handout.

Why does the modern right always need a "leader" like we were a totalitarian government, and not a "representative" one our founders created?
If the worse you can say about me is I want to help people using "We the People" and the worse you can say about the other guys is they could care less for, or hate their fellow Americans, well I'll choose the side of good everytime.
You want to talk about making government more efficient, I will listen every time. You want Americans to starve, freeze to death or die because they can't afford to have a tumor removed, you've lost me.

The family unit has steadily been eroded for generations now. Parents have less and less rights to raise their children as they see fit. Now we are getting stuck with a whole lot of adults who were raised to reject personal responsibility. They are stuck back at the playground with the mentality of having to share everything...they never made it to the part where they learned to earn their keep and be productive.

They are just using the standard playbook...if they can REALLY stimulate class envy, they believe they will get the "change at any cost" vote...just like telling old people Republican want to end SS or telling soccer moms Republicans want to starve school children...they do it every election cycle.

There's is a perverted sence of Robin Hood. We should never forget that Robin Hood stole from gvmt to give back to the people.

The modern left would rather steal from the people to give to gvmt.

We need more Robin Hoods in our world.

Since you can never track down where they got their money (illegal campaign contributions), I think it is to make the right look bad.
