Hear are some whipped up fearmongering from the recent years:

- Dubai Ports World taking over port operations at some US ports.
- 9/11 conspiracy theories
- The belief that the Patriot Act has infringed our rights
- The belief that the Military Commissions Act will cause a re-enactment of FDR's internment camps.
- The belief that the war in Iraq is so Halliburton and Exxon will get profits
- The belief that there will be a "false flag" operation to initiate war with Iran.
- The belief that Bush will impose martial law to prevent the next election

So, who's living in fear?

Yes, I am very fearful that stupid people have taken over my country and an personally recommending that the U.S. military start bombing all NASCAR events. I'm sure I will get a lot of thumbs down for this but my father (who is my favorite person in the world) had an interesting comment about this phenomenon . . . When Earnhart (sp?) died he said that the CIA should hold a bogus funeral for the guy, drop a bomb and end the country's political crisis right then and there . . .

I don't fear NASCAR as much as the people who attend the event . . . I'd say about 40% are normal but the other 60% oooh that's scarry.

Yes, Here are a couple good lines to best describe politicians.

"The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false-face for the urge to rule it." H.L. Mencken

"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." H. L. Mencken
