Didn't Jackson and Sharpton along with other black leaders lose credibility after the Duke rape case?

I guess I brought this up because I know there is still racism in America but doesn't this add to the racism? Or atleast a form of it?

In my last detail I souldnt have used the qualifier "black" for my statment "other black leaders". My point with that was "left wing or right wing"? spokes people for these issues.

I think Jesse lost credibility with the 'hymey town' remarks back in the 80s and Sharpton lost it during the Tawana Brawley fiasco.

Sharpton and Jackson are both jealous that Obama DOES NOT have to use the race card to get his point across.

They are not used to seeing black powerful people using their intelligence and character instead of their skin color to reach the masses.

If anything Sharpton and Jackson can learn from this young man.

EDIT: And Gary made a great point. Obama is half white anyway!

Jesse Jackson and all those idiots have never had any credibility with anyone long before the Duke rape case. Jesse Jackson and Al Shapton and all those guys play black people for idiots and do everything for their own gains. Jesse Jackson wants to call every little thing racist, he actually trivializes the plight of those who actually do deal with racism. Won't someone assassinate that guy already....lol.

Jackson is a horse's patootie, and always has been.

His derangement over Obama's lack of enthusiasm in supporting the black students who brutally beat a white student nearly to death is unsupportable.

A reasonable person, let alone a presidential candidate, cannot in good conscience condone or dismiss such an action, even if it was but one of continuing series of bad behavior by many people in the whole sordid Jena story.

Why anybody listens to the irrelevant Reverend Jackson, I'll never understand.

Those two are hate mongers. They pretend to be 'for the black man', but they are for the further divide of the races, which is sad. Sad becuase They could really do good in attemping to bridge the gap, but all they want is face time on TV.
I would like to know why they were not condeming the actions of the three black men who walked up to a police car and show two cops for no reason. If it was a white group that shot two black cops they would have been ALLLLL OVER IT.

What I think is that Jackson is from an older generation, a segregated generation of "blacks" and "whites" in their thinking and a generation of activisim.

He may not agree but the world has come along way in the last 25 years and more people are color blind than he may care to admit because he sees so much more work to be done.

Jackson and Sharpton, claim to be men of God but only preach hate. These people have had their shares of problems and not to many people listen to them anymore, at least the people smart enough to realize that they are part of the problem and not the solution.

even the most extreme diehard of liberals know that these two men aren't good for America, that's why neither can win when they try to run of President.

Obama is not acting like he is White. It is astounding
to me, that some Americans actually believe that
there is a certain way to act in order ti identify race.
Purely pathetic. And no, Jackson and Sharpton have
not lost all their credibilty. Because their last few
marches were for White equality. But only an
intelligent person would recognize that.

Jackson and others cannot let the 60's go. Fact is, the country has changed since then. And Jackson hasn't.

Well he is half white, and who cares about what Jesse jackson and Al Sharpton says, thet're both pulpit pimps

It is a matter or jealousy, Obama is just acting as a professional and is very credible, Jessie has no idea what this means and Al just doesn't like him. Both of them would like to be in his shoes.
