Asaksadka, yes, I know two people who served in Iraq - my neighbor did two tours and a good friend has done three. They both agree with our president and the need for us to fight terrorism..thank God.

They have lived a life of fantasy.....fantasy is their work!!....they are around people who idolize them and tell them how great they are....humility is just an ACT to them....they spend their entire miserable lives in this "reality" that they believe..NEVER wanting for nothing....with loads of time on their hands....more money then the average person makes in a lifetime, and they have plenty of time to sit and ponder the world...unfortunately most of them have a warped view...they have had it so good for so long that they have to "create" their problems and share their pain with the world...most of US look at them and say "who cares what you think"....most actors need to get based back into reality, come down to OUR level, and see that the world isn't as simple as their warped views are.

There was a radio host with a news bit a while back about someone like Catherine Zeta-Jones having a press conference to say she hadn't decided to back anyone? Like, who cares about who she backs? A press conference? Do you care who I back?
Didn't think so, so why would she think she needs a press conference??
Everyone is entitled to their opinion & in the US is allowed to let it be known. But why people, especially in the entertainment industry have to hold press conferences to voice the opinion that they don't have an opionion is beyond me. And, Fred Thompson is already a politcian, & not just an entertainer, so his case is a little different.

Yes, as some have said here, of course they have a right to speak up when they wish, just like you and me. No kidding. My problem with it is they abuse their positions; someone here said that people lap up what celebrities have to say as if it was handed down by God. So true.

Zanbar: Thompson may be a former actor but you're forgetting that in order to make a difference and be heard he is actually taking steps by running for office. He certainly hasn't stood on any stage or set as an ENTERTAINER in front of millions of people and crammed his opinion down anyone's throat. Nice try.

Why should your opinions or anyones opinions matter, she and the other Hollyweirds as you out it live in this country as well as you right? Don't your parents fight if they are even still together. Do you know anyone fighting this war. She doesn't have to be a politics expert to understand and expect the gov should do there jobs and whats wrong or right. She or anyone who pays their taxes and hopefully vote have the right to say what the want...i.e Freedom of Speech.....like your doing now.

Oh, she's entitled to her opinion, but when she says it in a public forum she is also entitled to any criticism that it gets her...especially when she comes across like a nut job as she did the other night.

looking at the ratings for The Emmy's Sunday night, I don't think a lot of people care about their delusional opinions. But of course, anything that is said by someone from Hollywood is lapped up and reported by the media like it was handed down by God.

Of course, the excuse now for the lack of viewership of the Emmys is because it was up against a football game.

Everyone knows that if you're on TV or sing a little, you know all abotu politics and what's best for the country. I mean really, if you're an entertainer you know more than anyone, where have you been?

Yes, and she, like the overwhelming majority of people in this country oppose the war in Iraq.

She has every bit as much right to express her feelings as the rest of us.

My question is- when did she get such a fowl mouth?

I think she's an expert on Boniva but not politics.

Fred Thompson is an actor right? Why is it ok for people to use their public popularity when they agree with you; if it isn't ok when they don't agree with you?
Oh that's right! You're obviously a lilliputian.
