There is no way to really answer this question. For instance, if Hitler simply listened to some of the advice his officers were trying to tell him the outcome of many battles would have drastically changed in Germany's favor. But that would mean Hitler would have to stop being a megalomaniac and admit someone else knew better than he did.
In other words, for Hitler to have won the war, Hitler would have to stop being Hitler. If Hitler were not Hitler, there would be no war. So this whole exercise is moot.
One can look at each and every battle and say that Germany could have done this or that but it is pointless. The Allies used the tactics they used because they understood from experience what Hitler would most likely do. Again, if Hitler did not act like Hitler in previous battles, the Allies would have used different tactics.
I don't see the point in speculation about what one side could have done while assuming the other side would still do exactly the same things.

The way it is shown in history is that Hitler had a shocking disregard for the reccomendations coming from his top ranked generals. There were instances where he removed those who did not agree were replaced. If he had listened his forces would have been in place to better defend against Operation Overlod. Hitler was commanding and bullying from a location far from NW Europe and was not in the position to be doing so.
The other flaw in his plans was due to his own paranoia that caused him to hold back some of the more powerful and elite divisions of the army, such as the one Panzer Division he wanted close by. Had it been in a better position to counterattack the invading forces we would probably be looking at a very different picture of Europe, perhaps the world.

1. Never declared war on the USA.
2. Waited to invade France until I had buttoned up the rest of Europe.
3. Controlled Spain and Portugul, so I would have been able to hold North Africa, and therefore the Med.
4. Moved against Russia before France, using Japan to squeeze them on the pacific.
5. Not gone straight for the throat with Russia, but instead targeted the Balkans first, then the fertile triangle. Once I secured the oil fields, and the infrastructre for shipping the oil to Germany, use a heavy air campaign against Russia rather than a ground calvary campaign.
6. Once I had Moscow, Balkans, and St. Petersburg, Spain, and North Africa, then I would move against France. I would not bother to secure southern france, but instead use Picardy as opposed to Brest for my landing against England.
7. Bribed the Irish to fight against the Brittish the same way Napolean did.
8. Blitzkreig against England the same as I did on france, but target Wales and Yorkshire so I can choke the country.

There are war theories that say Germany would have won if he had not invaded Russia. That was his greatest military blunder.
Second, he would have eventually lost the backing of his people when the death of the Jews became known.
Finally, he could have taken England, but after we entered the war, we vastly outpowered his scarce resources to conduct war. In time we still would have stopped him.
Most people don't know that Hitler lost the war when our bombers destroyed his only ball-bearing factory in Germany.
That was the death blow to his war machine.
Ich verstehe Deutschland ser gut.

Exactly which "war" are you talking about ? We have very good reason to believe that Hitler was trying to take over the ENTIRE world ! How do you win that ?
If you're just talking about taking over Europe and the surrounding areas, then it would have been a good idea to regroup after failing to conquer Britain. Instead Hitler went after Russia. And basically had the same problem Napoleon did. The winter devastated the Army....Fact is he was destined to get his butt kicked.

I would have been more subtle, I would have concentrated on expansion to the east, concentrating on labens raum and avoided attacking and antagonizing France and England, or i would have not turned toward Russia when I was on the verge of defeating and conquering England...Russia would wait til spring. The neo cons have learned from Hitler....they are much more covert, more subtle, more patient......less brutal, much less grand in style, more secretive, more covert.....their goals are less tangible, less obvious. They are more dangerous.

A truce or treaty with Britain and avoiding a war with Russia .
They could have taken Europe over a ten year period if only they had moved a little slower .

First I would never have been so murderous and controlling of the citizens...second I wouldn't have messed with Russia before I was able to defeat them...guess I wouldn't have made a very good Hitler...I'm very happy about that.

His two biggest mistakes were declaring war on the US after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, and attacking Russia.

Not fight the war in Europe on two fronts. Not allied with Japan so when they attacked the US the US would not have entered the war in Europe.
