How long does it take to get released from the military after medical discharge has been ordered? I have heard a month or so, and I have also heard a few months. Are there any situations that might make it take longer than "ususal"? My fiance was told by his doctor yesterday that he should be released on medical discharge due to a perminate injury to his ankle. How long should all of this take?

I have noticed my male neighbour taking pictures from his house of my 12-year old sister playing on a trampoline in our back yard. Is this illegal in British law, considering that my sister is on her own private property when this is taking place? He has not yet specifically complained about her playing on the trampoline, which I would expect if this was the reason for the photo-taking.

I voted twice for Arnold Schwarzenegger for Governor and Kerry for Pres. I am Pro Choice and death penalty but anti illegal immigration. My daughter goes to parochial school but I am strong for the separation of church and state and can’t stand the religious right; anti Iraq war, but I strongly support our troops (military in my immediate family). In the past decade I have been registered Democrat, Republican, back to Democrat, and then Independent (which sucks because we can’t vote in the Dem/Rep. primary)

My mother gives me a hard time because she says I am “conservative,” and my father-in-law teases me because I am too “liberal.” When did the parties start defining our beliefs? If we join a party, is it all decided for us because it’s their party platform? You never hear politicians criticize their own group which leads to decay. I know I will get #$%$^ from both sides of the issue. Am I the only one out there looking for a party that won’t tell me what I should believe?

Neither of them have a snowball's chance. So do you think it is merely a tactic by the DNC to put them in the running? It does make the two front runners more appealing to independents--by comparison they could almost pass for moderates.

to do mathmatics as it seems their expense claims are nearly always wrong, but they probably get away with it, and yet members of the public overlook a small bill and big brother is threatening, court, prison and usually within a couple of days past the bill due date, do you think this is a case of one rule for them again and another for the public?

Also, how can they defend a guy who inhumanely abuses animals?

I think it's interesting that there are so many people who think Hillary stayed with Bill simply for her political career. I don't agree that's the whole reason, but let's play devil's advocate and say that she did. What does that make her? Ambitious, yes. Calculating, yes. Intelligent, yes. Knowing her history, this seems to be a woman who has harbored the dream of being President since her college days. Even when First Lady, I suspect she had her plan laid out to become a Senator, then the President. Why should she have let her husband's infidelity ruin those plans? If she would have had a harder time as a divorced woman, and it's pretty clear she would have, why let his idiocy ruin her plans? Why is that bad? Why is it okay for men to be calculating, ambitious and aggressive about protecting their career plans but not a woman?

Would love to hear some opinions on this.

I constantly follow news whether it be print, television, or radio, and I always wonder when I will hear of any real progress being made in our legislature over isuues that matter to me. It is rare that you ever hear about congress solving any real problem that is vital to our nation. It seems like our government is bogged down trying to serve the special interest groups. I am just an ordinary American trying to do my own thing and earn a living. I dont care about who fixes problems in society be them democrats or republicans, I just want progress. I don't want the issue of gay marriage or global warming to halt progress on congress fixing the economy or dealing with the situation in Iraq. I just think as a nation we have to get our priorities straight. I do not have a problem addressing gay rights or global warming just dont campaign on them. Make plans to solve the problems of today. Quit catering to every liberal interest and get something done.
