it looked like edwards had the edge in iowa for a while but clinton has taken the lead. i suspected this would happen, with her being so far ahead nationally it had to reflect in the states. if clinton carries iowa she will likely win the nomination. with the primary restructure the primaries will be decided mich earlier. edwards has put al his resources into iowa and will be expected to do well, if clinton wins iowa edwards will be finished and i dont see how obama can get an opening to seriously compete with clinton, if i were obama i would focus on new hampshire and south carolina, ,because he's second nationally but way behind in iowa, and i can see how he could win in sc and nh but it will be difficult if clinton has momentum

Edwards is moving up or, more likely, Hillary and Obama have been pretty well "found out" by Democrats who have supported them up to now, and they're fading. Unless Edwards has some more bad hair days, he might actually take the primary. At least he's good for some gags on the Jay Leno show.

Edwards, I really hope so anyway.
As for people saying that America's going down the drain with a Democrat doesn't know much about our Democracy. How can you call yourself a patriot? How can you call yourself a Conservative if you have no faith in the Constitution and those who designed it?
The ugliness from both sides makes me ill and then people wonder why so many Americans want nothing to do with with the process. Because it's ugly and it's rancid with lies, name calling and gerneralizations. I love how people call "lies" but don't provide a source.
This is a sorry excuse for a political forum.

The democrats have no good candidates. Obama is inexperienced. Why do people even like him, he's "charismatic" which means what exactly? Old women scream when he comes on stage? He came from nowhere and has almost no clue what he is doing. Hilary already had her eight years, lock her up and give Bill a chance do make decisions for himself. Hilary is just getting votes because she is a woman. She will destroy our country. Edwards, I don't think so. Put me down for "maybe" Edwards is the best by far out of those three.

Obama or Edwards. I think Karl Rove, even though he's resigned from his position as Senior White House adviser is still trying to influence the political landscape of America. In 2004, the Republican tactic was to throw as much criticism and as many attacks as possible at John Kerry. This is because Bush and his campaign wanted to face John Kerry and not John Edwards. So now Karl Rove is throwing constant criticism at Hillary Clinton. Why did he do it to Kerry and why is he doing it to Clinton? Because people are more likely to support those candidates under attack, especially when the attack is from someone as hated and divisive as Karl Rove. Tricky, Karl. Nice try.

I think Edwards has Iowa. Once some of the second tier candidates start dropping out he will start pulling ahead. The people who currently support the lower tier candidates are looking for alternatives. I think Edwards is the most "alternative" of the top tier.

Doesn't matter, Republican is going to win any way, just put any of them up against him in the next election, lot of wasted time and money for nothing.
