Being his 'fifth', I think the answer is obvious. Maybe you should cut him a break though... since he said he's not part of the Executive Branch, maybe he couldn't find his way to any branch of the military either. :-)

I do not see it as an issue. He was in college and the law provided for deferments for those in college. He invoked that law. And, he got one deferment for being a new father, again something provided by law. Nothing shady here.

He tried to go there but some people should serve and some should leed.
