I have to laugh at all the answers about the govt listening to the people....it's the lefties who won't listen to the VAST majority of Alaskans and open ANWR.
But they'll still complain, no matter what.

Can't you all find a better topic to preach about other than this one! We don't invent things to discuss, neo-cons offer them up on a plate, every time one of them opens their mouth!
The only whining I read about on here, is when it involves opening a republican's wallet!
And stop blaming us for all the money that has been spent! Bush has spent a what, a trillion dollars on his illegal war?
What would make Liberals really happy? If Republicans would, themselves come up with the solution to all of our problems! But I don't see that happening! It might involve turning loose of a dollar or two , for something other than yourself!
We would also be very pleased if you would stop trying to lay the blame on us for everything! You people share the responsibility of this country, too! You can not take all the money, and not give some back! That is just not the way it works!
Oh, and SP? ANYONE WHO WOULD DEFEND A PEDOPHILE IS ONE SICK DEGENERATE! And a person who would suggest that a liberal would, is also very sick and needs help, or better yet a conscience!

if the government did anything they were supposed to do for the people they were elected to represent, I'm sure you'd hear less "whining" from the liberals.
And despite what you believe, liberals aren't all sitting at home doing nothing all day, waiting for a handout from the government. They'd just like to see poor people who struggle to raise their families get a fair shake at life.

Libs just want to see our government run by people who actually know what they're doing and talking about. We don't want the government doing everything for us but we sure don't mind helping someone who needs it. I know that's a difficult concept for some cons, but not everyone is born into the same situation. Whether you want to believe it or not, this country does not afford the same privileges to poor kids, such as education and health care, as it does for kids who come from well-to-do families.

We were happy during the Clinton years.. we didn't get everything we wanted.. but we at least felt like the President heard and respected what we had to say.
