And how many know what a cherry marine is? Are you aware that only the cherry marines get promoted to Full bird and higher! If you see one of those eagles or any of the stars then you know for a fact he's a cherry marine!

try not to refer to often (my sis-in-law are one) but a
BAM is simply a female female. I'm, guessing a cherry
marine is a "ring-knocker" straight from the academy without
paying any "real-timer" dues.

i was in the Marines and i've never heard of either term. i guess the broad one would be a female Marine. we used to call em bag-nasties. and the other guy was right about ring knockers.
