Well, I'm going to answer that, partially, at least. Aside from the pompous self-righteous attitude of your common everyday American, there is the biggest issue. Call it hypocrisy, call it BS, call it whatever you want. It's there.
The United States is the self-titled Humanitarian Nation of the World, spreading freedom, liberty, and justice...Except when it's not.
If you want to look further back, there is, of course, the Native Americans. A little beyond that is the Philippines, and the aftermath of the Spanish-American War.
Or how the United States completely ignores anything the U.N has to stay. Once the United States became the superpower to beat, it became obvious the true intention behind this government. There was a 1972 treaty banning the use of biological weapons and germ warfare. To enforce this law, the U.N made an agreement to allow the search of ALL nations, but of course, the U.S refused to allow any such searches of their arsenals. -Out of space, can't type
