It all depends on the time of day and road conditions.....but I wouldn't be organising a driving holiday for the rest of this year.

if the speed limit was 30 MPH and you were doing 60 the anser is yes if the speed limit was 40MPH and you were doing 70 no it all depends on the relativity to the speed limit on the road your were travelling.

generally if you are caught doing double ie 60 in a 30 a ban is on the cards.

if you was on the motorway and the speed limit is 70 and you were doing 100 I believe a ban is mandatory, it is hard to give a defintive answer unless we know the facts

Depends on the speed limit for that road, the time of day or night, the area in which you live, how many points already on your licence, etc. All you can do is keep your fingers crossed but I don't hold out much hope as the courts (not the police) are trying to cut down on speeding in general as it is the main cause of accidents on the roads.

If it was a local road, then you will probably get a heavy fine, and possibly 6 points instead of the mormal 3 points. If it was a motorway, and you were clocked doing over 100 mph, then a ban is very likely.

I am assuming you were caught whilst doing this ?

I would think so, you could kill yourself or someone else, especially a child going at that speed and there is just no need for it. Speed limits are there for a reason, if your late leave earlier and if your showing off then you shouldn't have a licence.

Very probably. Even if it was on the motorway the police take a dim view of 100mph+ speeds.

If you were doing 60mph in a 30 zone, thats bad news. But 100mph on the motorway might not be as bad...
