War on Terror? This is juz only a sweet cover for Bush to cover up his mistake for invasion of Iraq. I think he wanna regain support from this action by gather back all the subject's support. If he didnt invade Iraq for simply saying 'that nation poses biological weapon', anti US in the world of Islam will not greatly heighten! Futhermore, terrorists recruitement is continuing even in the Iraq blue zone. How to capture them? Seems that conflict wont end if the US keep manipulate the situation behind it.

You do it the George Bush way - Put on a big photo opp, Give a stumbling speech that ignores reality, and then pat
yourself on the back for what a great guy you are.
The fact that things got worse since you and your moron vice president took over is of no concern to you.
Bush and his ilk will never be able to WIN a war on terror, because they fail to understand the cause of the war. The terrorist view of the US and our sometimes one sided policies, whether that view is right or wrong, is what motivates them to hate us. We have to change out way of dealing with the world, stop thinking it is our play thing that we can manipulate any way that suits us, and then the terrorists will loose the ability to recruit new members. Eventually they will die out. But as long as they can point to what they believe are unjust actions by the US, they will be able to recruit new members to continue the fight.
Those who are trying so hard to turn us into a military state, with the spying and the layer upon layer of new restrictions to our freedoms; are doing more to aid the terrorist than giving them arms. Because they are destroying that which made the USA what it is, our freedom and our willingness to help others who need our help, no matter what they believe politically or religiously.

I recently read that Iraq is a breeding ground for terrorists. Iraq was a far better place before Bush invaded it. It is a real mess now. Terrorism will disappear when the double standard of the west disappear. You will get a picture when you think about Israel and Palestine and Africa and western foreign policies.

I guess you can compare it to cancer. You might be able to eradicate it, but you can never be sure if it suddenly reappears, perhaps more lethally than ever before. The War on Terror is like chemotherapy: If the dosage (tough terrorism prevention laws, for example) is too high, you (or society) will suffer from it, if it's too low, it may not be enough to treat the illness.

You CANNOT win a war against a tactic. You CAN win a war against those governments which hold and sponsor the ideologies which advocate the destruction of your country.

You win wars by killing the enemy and breaking things (i.e breaking their will)!
PS In case you haven't been paying attention to the news many tribes are now joining the troops in fighting the terrorists...

There cannot be absolute victory. There can only be small victories here and there - killing or arresting a terrorist ringleader, preventing a bombing, etc.

The best way that you can stop fanatical nutters is to speed up their passage to Paradise.
IE shooting them by the hundreds in the deserts of Afghanistan and Iraq.
