In regards to Illegal Immigration: If President Bush would thumb his nose at the people and support illegal aliens into this country primary for businesses as a cheap source of labor despite the clear and undeniable ground swell against. Why do you think he refuses to listen to the people?
And what does his unyielding support of illegals reveal regarding his support for the wealthy vs. the middle class?
Has the fact that there's still no border fence, the INS has not significantly increased, at best there are only sporadic work place round ups of illegals, some local governments are issuing offical ID's and\or turning a blind eye to the fact that this country is being invaded... has President Bush shown his true colors inasmuch as he really doesn't care what the middle class thinks or needs?
Is he all about Wall Street and the wealthy? From my perspective he certainly seems to have a certain disdain for the average working man\woman.

I think it mainly comes down to the International bankers wanting to see the middle class eradicated in the world. Then you have two classes, the Elites and the Serfs. To do this, the system has to crash. Remember the big push about ten years ago for the everyday Joe to invest in the stock market or mutuals? Bush passes tax cuts on Capital gains to suck everyone in? It started with NAFTA, the conversion of our economy from a manufacturing base to a services base and now it's going to a managerial base. We out source and don't produce anything anymore, we import unsafe and detrimental goods, which the Gov't doesn't inspect. Illegals, which are already in serfdom, usurp the jobs that could keep Americas teen employed.
This isn't new, it's been happening for quite some time, with both parties in the White House. The borders are still unguarded for a reason. It's hard to get the people behind you, in fear, unless you can foment terrorist attacks here.

I find it interesting that only one person is getting the blame for this atrocity when we all know that there are many who are involved. This goes back before Bush, when trade agreements were signed (NAFTA) that shoved most of these people out of work and has sent them across our border. Bush is by no means innocent, but neither is our representation up on the hill. Take a close look at those who are pressing for amnesty, and you'll find it's the republicans who are holding out.
Isn't it about time to begin pressuring the individual states to begin taking action? I know that Ga. and some of the others are levying fines against employers who hire them. Why aren't all states doing this? How are sanctuary cities getting away with not abiding by our laws? Why aren't people up in arms about that?
Instead of repeatedly pointing fingers at one person, why not do something? Place the pressure on those states who aren't taking action, pressure the city officials of sanctuary cities, pressure our representatives to get our borders closed.
Most of us who are apposed to illegal immigration and amnesty quit writing and doing anything when the bill didn't pass. Instead of complaining, why aren't we doing something about it? We do have a voice if we opt to use it. :)
Edit: Just so you know, Specter is liberal and always has been. I didn't like him when he ran back in the 70's. At that time, PA was more of a Repulican state and that's why he ran on that ticket. He's no more of a Republican than you are. hehehe (huggggggggggs)

Every President & politician since the parties monopolized the electoral votes, have concluded :
1) that the wealthy continue to get wealthy
2) the poor continue to stay poor or get poorer
3) the middle working class continue to help make 1 & 2 possible until the middle is NO more. Then there is only filthy rich & dirt poor.
Without the middle, there is no competition or opposition for the wealthy, so basically they have free reign & control over it all. Could the poor oppose them ? no their broke !!! Their will to continue fighting is gone, because they are just trying to survive without getting imprisoned, enslaved, tortured, etc.
But, they do have strength in numbers !!!
*** You already have seen what 300 determined free men can achieve when all fight for their right to be "free men" and not the slaves of an emporer or king.
Americans have forgotten what it means to fight for the very things this nation was founded on by our ancestors..........
Who fought & died that we could have all that we have now.
But many sat on their hands, pointing fingers and let our elected officials take our freedoms from us.... and no one even batted an eye.

Bush does not listen to the people because he thinks he can get away with it. He's had an extremely effective propaganda machine, and millions of middle-class voters have been fooled for most of the past six years.
Austin: backbreaking agricultural jobs are not the only ones that illegal immigrants have taken. Millions of illegal immigrants work in all kinds of service jobs, and in the construction trades.

I do believe that illegal workers reduce wages. If they were unavailable to do the work that they do then the companies that hire them would be forced to increase wages. I think every man has a price. I do believe it would adversely affect the price of farmed goods. But amnesty only makes the illegal ones legal and then more illegals are needed to do the same work. The persons who were given amnesty would suddenly become incapable of doing the hard work they had previously done. This has happened before.

I dont think he took his current immigration position because of the wealthy. I think he has taken it because he really believes that the US should welcome these workers and allow them to participate in the freedoms all americans have as well. He believes that America will be stronger because of the illegals.
I disagree of course, but I dont doubt that President Bush's position here comes because of a sincere belief in the freedom, prosperity, and ideals of the United States.

History teaches us that a two class social system will not work for long as the upper class becomes complacent and the lower class revolts as they have nothing left to lose.
The USA is three consecutive right wing controlled government administrations away from a revolution.
With that in mind...
GO HILLARY....!

I'm a little confused here. Why does the middle class have a special interest in the "invasion" of the U.S. by illegal aliens?
The average middle-class American not only would not do the work performed by illegals, but is physically incapable of it, in part because the average American is either overweight or obese.
Ever tried spending your days, day in and day out, picking berries out of low-lying shrubs, in the hot sun?
How about digging trees up in a tree farm?
Shoveling mouse droppings out of grain silos?
I'm having a hard time imagining people hopping out of their SUV's to line up for these jobs.

You fail to mention that the law makers that support the same thing are the democrats. How is it that the republican house and senate members are the only thing stopping the illegals? Why are the democrat house and senate members so dead set on the elimination of the middle class?
Both of my senators are in that handful. Are yours?
