No. He was killed by accident in combat.
You should notice that the people screaming the loudest about this have never served in the military - much less been in combat. And you should notice that people who have been in combat regard this as one of those regrettable accidents that happen in war.

Now I know Liberals hated Pat Tillman for enlisting.
They just couldn't stand some famous joining the military.
But I don't believe any Liberal would have the guts to enlist, just to assassinate Pat Tillman.

This subject makes me so frustrated!
He joined the Army knowing he'd be getting deployed and knowing there was a chance he could die.
Why are we still talking about him? Because he was famous! Thousands of other soldiers have died and none of their deaths were investigated!
He was just another soldier who lost his life for his country, he should be remembered as that. I'm sure he's rather be remembered a hero than "the famous football player, whose death was a government cover up".

Tillman was killed by fracticide, not to be confused with "fragging." Fracticide means death by friendly fire, a mistake.
Fracticide is common in warfare. Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson and Edward "Butch" O'Hare (for whom the airport in Chicago is named) both were killed by friendly fire.

First I do believe that he was killed by one of his own men. Second of all, let me ask you a question...Would you pay this much attention if the soldier who had been killed wasn't a pro ball player? Something to think about.

In Vietnam parlance, it looks like he was 'fragged'. Killed by his own troops.
He was hit in the head at medium/close range multiple times by an M16.
The reports on his death seem like a cover up going up very high in the chain of command.
The truth will come out eventually but it seems that we have a pretty good idea now that it won't be pretty.
