were college students from Egypt and Sudan! Why are they here in this day and age? Why is there not a stop on all middle eastern students for at least a year or so period and major background checks before they can even come here? Basically law enforcement prevented a huge blow up at a base by goons that are here going undetected! When are we gonna really crackdown and not allow middle easterners here until we know more about them and will Liberals act surprised when a college blows up by one of them?

If the Jesus Freaks have their way eventually a woman who has an 'illegal' abortion will be tried for fetuscide. Do you think that any jury would ever vote to convict? I doubt it.

More than 7 years ago I was convicted of driving while impaired. More than 10 years was the assault charge (not domestic). Since then I have earned a degree in Law Enforcement and joined the Marine Corps reserve. Also, served proudly in Operation Iraqi Freedom just recently. All in order to show how serious I am about my future in either Law Enforcement or Corrections. Please help me by giving your advice.

I didn't even notice this until someone mentioned it in another question. I just thought he was a really level headed guy with a great chance at being president.

So my question is; Who the hell cares that he's black? Why is that such an issue? He's a smart guy. I thought we were to the point were a person could look past color? ANY recognition of color in a positive or negative way it RACIST. Get over it people. He won't be "the first black president". He'll just be, "the '08 elected president" and hopefully if he does become president he'll be a great leader, and that's what he'll be known for, not for being black.

Your opinions?

She was the one not going into her appointments and now we may have child support built up if its proven to be his does anyone know if there is anything we can file for not being responsible for child support until the paternity was established?

I see no reason why anyone would like him to be our President.
Here are my reasonings:

1. (Not to be racist) He's black and therefore, political correct pressure is not directed heavily at him. He will possibly be biased to his own race, where as a white man cannot.
2. He's a Buddhist in a Christian dominated country. His beliefs are totally different than the majority of America's.
3. Is it just me, or is there something suspicious about him? Every time I see him or hear him speak, I can't help but feel and untrustworthy vibe coming from him.
4. He's a democrat and look what happened to the last democrat president we had (I know that's not a very good argument because look at President Bush. But he didn't get impeached and he didn't go fooling around with ugly women).

Please give me a few reasons why you like him. This is a legitimate question and I'm not judging. I just want to know why people think he's so desirable because I don't see anything desirable about him.

So to start off this wasn't me, and it happened in the state of California. Anyhow, onto the story:

My friend's brother was driving his van and they had one passenger. They were pulled over for a broken taillight, the van wreaked of marijuana from what the police officers said although there was no marijuana in the van. They were all arrested, the older brother was assaulted by 3 police officers and the brother was hit with a DUI as well as a DWI. The van is now impounded and the older brother (the driver) had to spend the night in jail. Is this legal? Would they be able to get their van back without paying impound fees if they took the case to court? The whole situation sounds ridiculous to me.

For instance, if you've robbed a bank, ten years down the road, you still can be arrested for that crime. But if you stole two tic tacs from a store, will you be arrested 10 years down the road?

i know that anti-americanism is running high all over the world. A survey done by time magazines shows that more and more people from other countries are embracing anti-americanism. I was talking to some French friends of mine, they said they got excited when they saw American flags burning on news.

So my BFF is going thru a divorce and his step daughter told him over the phone some pretty damning things abou the ex-wife. Things that are going on in the home. He has his 6 year old son there living with her and his 2 teenage step-daughters.
On the phone one of the step daughter said the following: thinks the new live-in boyfriend is beating her up (bruises from a cruise they went on together), she smokes pot, takes speed, yells and screams in the house, the kids are afraid for their safety, lets the boy do anything, doesn't watch him. etc.
Here is the hard part... during this phone conversation, he hit record in the middle. Now he has the 17 year old saying these things. Can he use this? Should he use this? What are his options?
His priority is the safety of the kids... what to do?

ADVICE please!!!!

They caved in once again to Bush...this time on warrantless surveillance.

Why do they talk against Bush overeaching and abuses, but when they get an opportunity to back up their talk, they roll over like patsies....why is that?

I'm not an economist, but then again, most likely you aren't either. On the other hand, the economy affects all of us, so we need to come to grips with these issues to participate intelligently in the political process. There needs to be a genuine national dialog on these issues at all levels.
