I live in the same flat as my landlady, our post/mail is delivered at the front of our bloack of flats to a small locked mailbox. There is only one key for this and my landlady keeps hold of this and wont let me have accsess to it at all, therefore i can only recieve my mail when she returns home, sometimes this can mean she is gone for 2 or 3 days, i need my post as part of my job and not having accsess to it everyday is making thing difficult for me, I have suggested she leaves the key on a hook in our flat so we can both use it but she wont do this, she has also told me when she is on holiday her parents will have the key and come round every few days to check the mail. I have been told that by doing this she is withholding my mail and is breaking the law? Is this correct?

Currently the many agencies aren't reaching most families' need by a long shot. Too much $$ wasted in administration costs. One blanket service is needed, with an information package for all carers about how/where they can get help and support and funds for respite care be paid direct to families. We need a real committment by Government (Feds and State together) to provide/build actual facilities for housing, respite and education facilities. Carers need real and ongoing support not just bandaid -type fixes, when our lives are torn apart and it's far too late to come back from, (DHS method currently)
We don't have holidays or even manage to get a haircut very often, it is very insulting to read about pay rises and super payouts to politicians all the time when I have no super for my future and I cannot contribute to it through no fault of my own. I will be one of many carers hopeful of a pension if they exist in 20 yrs. We need support so we can work too, it's not too much to ask .

Four days ago, I got a cat from a man who is mildly retarded.
Now he is saying he wants the cat back, but I suspect that what he really wants is money. If I offer him money for the cat and he takes it, is it legally binding? Also, should I get him to sign an agreement?

I received in 3 tickets in March: speeding, failure to display registration and he claimed the tag on my license plate was not in clear view. As a result, I hired a lawyer and was told she would handle all three charges. I paid the fee and in May, I received a letter saying my license was suspended. I contacted the firm & they said it was an error on their part. They'll clear it up with the judge. I faxed them my registration which was valid. I contacted the firm 3xs to make sure they received it & they had. Last week, I received a letter with the court fees totalling $600. I'm a college student struggling to pay bills so I just started crying but when I saw the breakdown of the charges, I was charged a $200 fine for not having my registration. A charge that would have been about $5 if I went to the court & presented it. I contacted the firm & was told I never faxed my registration. I couldn't believe it. She said she'll get the fine dropped. If she does doesn't what do I do?

is this possible that alquaeda can use our craving for low wage guest workers from India to get some of its operatives in the USA? We know about the open borders, but this way, it would legal even.

You make decisions as a Quango, Group, Individual or through Parliment which will have far reaching consequences yet never ONCE have we seen a politican taken to task when that decision has been shown to be wrong perhaps many years later. After all ,Doctors are held accountable well after the event so WHY NOT Politicians?- Decisions are often taken without any heed to the people most affected but are deemed to be politically expedient at the time. Just be honest and answer OK!
Thank you

It's hard these days to discern the Republican party from a religious sect. Blind faith seems to keep the members supporting the leadership. The president is looked upon almost as a Messiah, who can do no wrong.
If Giuliani is nominated, do you think secularism will return to the Republican party?

OK, now that I have your attention, I would ask why America is the economic powerhouse it is, and why it became such a wealthy country? As late as 400 years ago it was pretty much a wilderness, as compared to the established civilizations of Europe and other areas.

Certainly the millions of people trying to come here, legally or otherwise, must consider it a "land of opportunity" as well.

So why is this?

As someone in my 30's I see the way you are leading our country, we are going backwards in time, due to tired and aged policies that worked in the 60's. I want my country to be progressive and a forethinking country and to be recognised as a world leader of which we used to be, but unfortunately we are falling behind in year after year. The policies of your government are showing your personal age and mindset of what Australias was like as you were growing up, which is fine for then, but now we have a younger country with a lot more people who are active in knowing about what our government is doing on the international stage and an ever growing proportion of us are getting very worried with the direction of going backwards.

I believe that presently the federal government does not pay for abortions, or at the very least there are some restrictions on using public monies for this purpose. The reason is the moral objection a large percentage of the population has to abortion.

So would any "single-payer" program include it, or exclude it?

Would you let him say...."oh well, she is carrying my child now, so we might as well accept the situation on the ground and make the best of it. After all, that baby is going to need his daddy"?

or would you make sure he gets punished for his illegal acts first and foremost and make sure he does not benefit from them?

Then why in the world of politics and government do we allow politicians to essenatially do the same thing to us?

Mit Romney accused Barack Obama of waffling by saying he would consult with the enemies of the US and Bomb our allies.
What Obama promised was to open dialogue with countries like Cuba, Iran and North Korea. He also said that if he were provided with actionable intelligence that Al-Queda were operating in Pakistan he would act to eliminate the threat.
I'm not a fan of Obama but is Romney a moron?

I mean is attacking Al-Queda in Pakistan the same as attacking Pakistan? And has ignoring Cuba actually improved anything?
