You make decisions as a Quango, Group, Individual or through Parliment which will have far reaching consequences yet never ONCE have we seen a politican taken to task when that decision has been shown to be wrong perhaps many years later. After all ,Doctors are held accountable well after the event so WHY NOT Politicians?- Decisions are often taken without any heed to the people most affected but are deemed to be politically expedient at the time. Just be honest and answer OK!
Thank you

Everyone is held accountable for what they do, though you may not easily see that consequence.

Please allow everyone their illusions.

Do the best that you can to remember that it is just an illusion. No way is this nonsense REAL!

Remember the aristocracy? It's still there. It changed its name. It revamped its image. It came out with a new model, but it still does the same. The rich make up most politicians. Many politicians children become politicians also. There is ONE connection between politicians and the industrial elite. That is, they are almost identical (a few colored fellows make the house, but don't worry, everyone has a price).
Lobbyists represent the financial elite and confer their favors unto elected politicians. That is yet another connection between the financial elite and elected politicians. HMMM?
Why do politicians betray the voters and get away with it? Easy. The constituency of politicians are the rich. Politicians are rich, their campaigns are paid by the rich and when they get to power they obey the rich. If they didn't, they would not get re elected.
Corporations are not even the horrible monsters we are made to believe, they are simply the tools of the rich. Corporations are the scythe with which the grim reaping wealthy are scamming us out of our government and our work while poisoning our media (and therefore our children) with the most noxious racism southern country clubbers could ever come up with.
You see, politicians do have responsibilities, just not to you.

You have nothing to lose but your chains. Workers of the world unite!

Occasionally we see politicians go to jail for things but they are rarely for their decisions (usually for being just bizarre people!); you're right.

I carry 20 million dollars in insurance. Why don't they?

The thing that bothers me though is that you don't need any special education to be a pollie! Me, I needed training! You just have to be popular with a group big enough to vote you in. This is particularly important in Senate when you can get in with appeal to about 3%, not 50% of your constituency. That's scary .... and you see what we end up with!

And the self importance of the hangers-on?!?!?! What's with that?

Politicians have to run for re-election. Many are subject to recall votes. If they are not held accountable it is the voters who are not holding them accountable.

Politicians CAN be held accountable -- by voters.

Voters simply choose not to hold them accountable.

They should be held accountable. They hold our fate in their hands and abuse the privilege many times. It is one word GREED that motivates them. Once they see how easy to take take take they think it is their right. They owe their allegiance to the rich!
