Other countries have black leaders, so that isn't really the question. The better question is if the US is ready for a black or even a woman president. Although it would really show the other countries that we have evolved as a nation, but in reality, I think it would end in disaster. I mean, it would probably end in a death of that president. There are too many wacko's out there that don't want to see anyone else as our president. The white male is how its been for the past 200+ years, so some people will argue, why mess with it. Then, any problems that we have, it will be blamed on them being black or female. They might get voted in, but they won't get a fair break.

Why could the international have be waiting for a black President? Is the U. S. waiting for a black President. specific, in spite of the shown fact that it should not be Barack Osama. the 1st black President (or the 1st lady) would be a conservative. The conservatives will vote for him with the aid of fact they do no longer care approximately race, and he gets possibly 30% of the black vote, rather of roughly 10%. Michael Steele, a black conservative, just about gained the Senate seat. of direction, it replaced into liberals who have been throwing Oreo cookies at him.

The world?

I think what you meant to say is America ready, or is the world ready for an American black president. The world has had it's share of black 'presidents'. I guess it would be interesting to see how they all did but, that's a story for another day.

What America is not ready for is a president who we would not otherwise have ever heard of if he were white.

Obama's a nice kid but, an empty suit nevertheless.

His idealism is admirable and he may grow up to be a politician of substance one day.

For now, he should go to his room while the adults talk.

The world already has black presidents. The world has had black presidents since Dessalines presided over the first free republic in the world, Haiti, in 1804.
The world has already had black black UN Secretary Generals, black revolutionaries, black writers...
You think black people care if your pissant country hides its imperialism behind yet another black face? Mrs. Rice is enough of a house slave. Blacks are already kings and magistrates, with no help from the racist US.
Why don;t you rephrase your question an reflect at least some basic knowledge of world history?

I think the better question is... Is the United States ready for a black President? The world has seen many different black presidents and leaders.

I personally do not believe that the USA is ready for a black or woman president. Please let me explain. I believe that the Northeast part of the US is more open minded and is ready for a black or woman president. I believe that the west coast is open minded and ready for a black or woman president.

I do not believe that the southern and mid-west states will allow a black or a woman president to be elected. By that I mean that the Northeast and West Coast won't be able carry enough votes to compensate for the south and mid-west part of the country.

Yes, I just don't think they are ready for an incompetant idiot like Obama. Colin Powell maybe, or even Charlie Rangel, he at least has some experience. Obama is a freshman senator who apparently thinks it is a good idea to threaten to invade a country armed with nuclear weapons (Pakistan).

Depends on which Country in the world you mean. If it is USA, then it is OK so long your constitution permits so. Otherwise also if a white can become President why not black or brown?

I hope so.

If not we'd better tell all the countries that have or previously had black presidents that they werent ready and need to make a change real quick.

Is the US ready? Who knows, but we should be by now. It shouldnt be an issue anymore.

A black world leader? We already had Cofe Annan in charge of the UN and Saddam loved it.
As for are the people of the United States ready for a black President, yes, Condy Rice, but never the closet jihadist Obama. The people of the United States should never ask if the world is ready for a certain type of person to be our President. We are a free country and will decide for ourself who leads us.
