Is there any logic to this bad management?

Question

The US spent more than 8.2 Billion dollars to arm the trained Iraqi troops and police. part of this sum was spent to provide these troops with more than 185,000 pieces of AK47 original Russian made, 170,000 pistols 9mm.
the issue is that 190,000 pieces CANNOT be located by the US troops...in other words these weapons are lost! not to mention that Iraq was already armed to the teeth with light weapons that was distributed by Saddam's government during the war......WHERE ARE THESE WEAPONS, how can a government system like the US army be so careless....dont they know that the country is already facing a civil war? what about the american people that paid for these weapons?
i am not an american...as a matter of fact i am from the middle east, and i am really surprised that such a mistake happens specially from a country that is a leader in management and organising skills. and it is a FACT that 20% of american troops casualties in Iraq are caused by light weapons?

That's because the U.S. Army isn't running that show. Companies, contractors and politicians are screwing the pooch on this one. Don't put it on the military.

Don't believe everything you read. You are not there, to find out the real reason weapons were lost. Of course it was careless, but you don't know the details. Therefore your statement is based on someone elses assumptions.

If you knew the real reason, it would shed light on your inability to see more than one possibility.

This probably isn't isolated incident. They also lost lot of money similar ways in millions of dollars. Or billions probably. This is really pattern of poor management of the war. Stuff like this happened from the day 1 after Saddam fell.

in a perfect world wars would be managed perfectly. of course its carlessness but the pelosi/reid regime would have you beleive thats cause and effect from fighting al qaeda when the reality check is that eliminating the very real threat of al qaeda is necessary and logical to the continued survival of this country. unfortunately liberal extremists in this country live in a clouded world of intention and belief and reality, especially with al qaeda intersects in their lives infrequently.

Since you are not an American, I can only assume that you are only human. Since you are only human, we Americans, who are human, sometimes make mistakes or do not know everything. Surely as a person from the Middle East, you can identify with that. If you cannot, please enjoy walking on water.
