A lot of Americans get outraged by our current administration's desecration to the U.S. Constitution but what can we expect when most of us have apparently forgotten our Constitutional Rights and Responsibilities?

The past 2 nights I have received multiple harrassing phone calls on my cell phone at around 1-3 in the morning. They are from an area code about 800 miles away, but the guy who calls mentions a local bar and asks for "Amy." I keep telling him he has the wrong number and asking what number he is trying to dial, but he won't tell me and keeps asking what my name is (I won't tell him but I do say I am not Amy).

His voice is not familiar and I don't have anyone who has grudges against me (that I know of). I think he is just drunk and screwing around, but he called multiple times both nights. I had my first and last name (uncommon last name) on my outgoing voicemail message and I took it down with a message just saying my phone number, but now I am concerned that he has my name and phone number and seems to be stalking me.

Should I be worried if he calls again tonight or do you think he is just some idiot with nothing else to do? What should I do?

*President lies/exaggerates to win public support of a war on "something." Communism or terrorism
*Congress grants the President a blank check to make war
*People soon realize it is being fought over nothing important
(unless you consider Halliburton's success worth our 3,000+ lives lost and billions of dollars wasted) and that even if we could win the war it would mean nothing
*War loses support and we lose global respect as we leave with our tails between our legs (this last part better happen sooner rather than later!)

Why is it so hard to see? How come we are still there? We know that Mr. President lied to the American people....couldn't the Republican party disown him? Couldn't the Democrats impeach him (and Cheney)? I just don't understand how it continues when nobody wants it!

""For decades, we took for granted that everyone agreed with us economists that free trade is good, protectionism is bad. Somewhere along the way, that stopped being the conventional wisdom," said U.S. Trade Representative Susan Schwab. "And whereas the default vote on a trade bill in Congress used to be a 'yes' vote, the default vote on a trade bill now in Congress is a 'no' vote."

Why? Because lots of people are no longer convinced that a rising tide of trade lifts all boats. And there's evidence to back them up.

Blaming globalization

For three decades, the richest 10 percent of Americans have been growing even richer much faster than everyone else. Over the past five years, real wages for the rest of America's workers have been almost flat. Many blame globalization."

Thoughts?

And yes this has to do with immigration.

Clinton insisted a moment later that nobody would believe that she could be influenced by lobbyists. So would she continue to accept those donations?
Yes, I will," she said, arguing that plenty of lobbyists represent good causes.

quote 2
In 90 seconds, I don't have the time to tell you all the mistakes I made."

isnt taking lobbyist money shorter than 90 seconds...and lets not forget...

If THC shows up on the test will I be arrested,

As soon as the Bridge collapsed last week, Libs were coming out of the wood work saying it was Bush's fault. Appropriately the conservatives corrected them that Bridges are a state and county afair and have NOTHING to do with the federal govt or the executive branch and that Minnesota is a Blue state. We also pointed out to them that a 3rd grader should know that. This is after also pointing out to them that Bush doesnt control Hurricanes as he's been blamed for all of those, and earth quakes and tsunamis. So what is it, what .org blogs or Mikey Moore Documentaries are libs getting these strange ideas from and why do they cancel out what ever small amount of common sense that they have in their heads?

In my mind never. While I can empathize and even understand why a person comes here or stays here illegally I can't condone it.While I feel illegal is illegal from a law aspect I also at the same time realize something must be broken to allow this to happen. So that's why I get irritated when I hear enforce the laws on the books. The laws are obviously flawed if all these loop holes exist that allow illegal immigration to continue.Something must change or we're just spitting into the wind with different states doing different things. That's not SOLVING the problem it's avoiding the problem on the National level.Don't you think it's time to confront our issue of immigration head on?And make new better laws that face today's problems of illegal immigration?Would you be open to new laws that served Americans better and ended the desire for others to illegally immigrate?

Over the course of its existence, our planet has been much colder and much warmer than it is today, having endured periodic ice ages and various cataclysmic natural events. That being the case, why would anyone choose to believe that human beings are responsible for the earth's most recent, and relatively mild, climatic shift?

It isn't President Bush's fault, or your lender for that mater, that your home is being forclosed you over extended yourself and now you are paying the price.

You had sex and got pregnant, than take responsibility for your actions, and have the baby. If you can't afford a child, give the baby up for adoption.

It isn't the governments job to give you money, get you a good job, pay your bills, take care of your kids, give you food, or any other thing that responsible people in the country do. Time to grow up and get on your own two feet.

I bought a car in name even though I do not drive and do not have a license. It is my daughter who has a license that time (last year). She was just 17 so the car was placed in my name and I have credit. So basically, do I own the car because in the contract my name is the only that's there. I have been arguing with my daughter about this because she says that this is her car also. She will 19 in Nov. I want to transfer it in her name she does not have enought credit and my credit score is low now. I cannot be approved.
