Yes, we do. We are required to be certified in Adult/Child/Infant CPR and First-Aid. We have to be certified every year as compared to others who are every 2 years, as required by The American Red Cross.
We also have to maintain a certain amount of hours every year to keep our certification valid. So fat this year, I have delivered 1 baby, given CPR 8 times, and administered First-Aid in the course of a motor vehicle accident 20+ times. We are usually the first on scene following behind us the first responders and then usually the ambulance.

Normally, police are the first responders to a scene; therefore, if someone is in dire need of first aid, then they must be able to provide the aid because it can save lives.
First aid is taught in the police academy.

I believe so.....I know I taught firse aid and there were alot of police there taking the class.....I dont know if thats mandated or just something that they do for safty.
