crime. How is it that the person with a lawyer would get a less severe sentence than the one without a lawyer? It follows, that when a rich person can afford a good lawyer, then than person will get a lesser punishment than a poor person with a cheap lawyer.

name a single instance (real, not this hypothetical crap) of how you have lost any civil liberties?

With the consitution being "thrown out the window" as you claim, I just hope Yahoo has enough capacity to handle what must be millions of violations you're going to share with us.

With that in mind, limit your response to just 10 examples that have happen to you directly.

The president does not want Carl Rove to testify to Congress under oath. It’s widely assumed that this is to avoid risking perjury. But the real reason Carl Rove can’t take an oath is much simpler.

It’s because taking an oath involves touching a bible, and he cannot safely do so without incurring second- or third-degree burns.

Bush, the devout Christian, understands this. And with his well-documented penchant for compassion and empathy, he simply refuses to put another human being in harm’s way to serve his purposes.

my husband and i are slightly worried that he wont be able to get a great job when he gets out. he's currently in iraq. he gets out in oct. 08. he had an article 15 awhile back. he just recently got promoted from priv. e1 to e2. hopefully he'll be at least a specialist by the time he gets out. any suggestions on where to go to find a good job where this isn't going to be worthless to our future? we are hoping he could get a job at a local base working as a civilian. but we're not sure how easy it is to do that. if you have suggestions or answers for us, please reply. thanks.

I was just wondering why people think its ok for abortion to be legal because a woman "has rights over her body", but its illegal for someone to commit suicide?

i also find it very curious, that a woman was found guilty of homicide to ending her own pregnancy at about 26 weeks.

here in florida, if you open up a phonebook, abortion clinics offer abortions up to 27 weeks.

i am both pro choice and pro life, and i am not looking for "abortions are wrong" answers. i am looking for true, strong answers that clearly can justify this.

also, to make things clear, suicide IS illegal. if you attempt suicide, you will be arrested and taken to a mental hospital. it is in the same sense that if a woman goes crazy and kills her kids, she is arrested and taken to a mental hospital.

Ya'all really need to start over. Much of your religion is not intrinsic to the New Testament but, rather, a group of so-called priests who got together a few hundred years after Jesus died and decided they would pull a bunch of wacko ideas out of their backsides. The Council of Nicea being prime example. Who ever said those men had the right to do that? Nobody but themselves.

I need to go to a hearing for a traffic ticket (posted speed limit differs from what the officer wrote the ticket for). I've already had to change my schedule for one continuace requested by the officer, which wasn't a problem because it was done well in advance. Now only 3 days before the hearing, the judge has issued a continuance for himself, to move the trial back only two days. I was told if that was needed, to have the request for continuance done at least two weeks in advance. I'm not sure if I can rework my schedule now, but if I ask for a continuance by certified letter (recommended to me), it'll probably never get there in time to notify all parties. What should I do? Can I have the case thrown out?
