i usually pick someone that gives a good answer,regardless of their view. if there is more than one good answer, i look at points and how long they have been here. i then go with someone that don't appear to be too concerned about points. most people just give it to someone that agrees with them and most of the time is part of their clique

Yes, I have once. Not because I'm partisan but because that was the only well stated, respectful opposing view answer that I ever got.

I do though not often.But I definitely do when it is well stated and intelligent.
I also at times receive best answers from people with a clearly opposing view so I'd say yes

I do, but I am very selective about the questions I choose to answer. I only answer if the questioner seems to really need another opinion.

No. I do it all of the time. You have access to my Q &A.. :)

If it's well thought out and stated, I will frequently give the opposition best answer, even if I don't agree.
