Ok, I'm sure you guys have all heard this one b4 but......

I wear my seat belt regularly, however I don't wear it if I'm just going a block or two down a residential street. My question is....police say they stop people for not buckling up because it saves lives....(which I agree, belts do in most cases) however then...shouldn't they be pulling over school & public buses, and motorcyclist too? None of them have seat belts (tho I've heard they plan to change that about school buses, I pitty the driver trying to make sure 20 kids are buckled in lol) I'm all for seat belts, especially on highways but shouldn't it be a personal choice? (unless you are on a highway or something like that)

Hollywood “liberals”, journalists and other Leftists have long criticized “conservatives” for repeatedly suggesting that drugs, sex and violence in films, on television and in entertainment in general has an influence on the behaviour of children. Now as a Liberian I’m not sure I completely agree with that position but stick with me for a minute.

The Left responds that it is not only untrue, it is ultimately the parent’s responsibility anyway. But if the content of entertainment has no effect on children why is it necessary for Hollywood to first ban smoking from its films? It began with a policy of having smoking qualify as one justification for an “R” rating. Now they will take steps to remove smoking from all films regardless of rating.

Did I miss something?

I was summoned for Jury Duty, (I live in Milwaukee, WI) for tomorrow and Thursday. But I am coming down with something really bad and am actually fearing that it might be Tonsillitis. Is there any way I can "call in sick" for jury duty? Or do I have to go no matter what?

And if her mother, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, manages to become the first female president of the United States, Chelsea Clinton could be in a historic, head-spinning position of her own: the first first child twice over.

I want to write a letter to the president of the US. I know the white house is in Washington DC I just need the street addess. I want to try to convince him into changing the drop out law. The amendment says no one should be discriminated against. Isn't it age discrimination when you have to do something you don't want to do just because of your age. I don't want to go to school and I have to be 18 to drop out. That's age discrimination because adults don't have to go it's just for kids because we're young. Do you think I'd be able to convince him to change the law?

Everytime we have a republican the debt goes up and our surplus dissapears! Its amazing how the conservatives harp on the fact that democrats SEEM to like taxes. Every time we have a democrat we have abundance. Why is that?

If given the choice of labor unions (which are incorporated FYI) or corporations guess which one Ill choose?

I was just married for a couple of months when my wife wanted to join the Army. We talked about it and she decided that she really wanted to do it. I was not going to stop her from what she wanted to do. Then around then around Feb. after she got to AIT the phone calls and letters started to stop. Then on our anniversary she told me that she wanted a divorce. I asked her why and she said it is what she needed and that she has changed so much. I told her you can't change the person in your heart. She was not cheating on me I know that for a fact so please don't say anything like that on here.
She is getting a divorce now. Put she keeps calling and texting me telling me how much she misses me and that she was sorry. I asked her today if she still wanted the divorce and she said yes. what is she doing to me? I am so confused. She gets deployed September 13 and will be over seas for 4 months cuse her unit is already there. What should I think?

Is there going to come a day when the successful workers and entrepreneurs of this country are going to say ENOUGH. They work themselves to the bone only to have half their earnings stolen by the Socialist/Progressives to buy votes. How FAIR is that?

They are all against school choice (vouchers). Most of the candidates sent their kids to private schools and had some excuse for sending them there. The point is that most people can't make excuses.
An excuse cant get you into a private school. Only money and freedom to choose a school can do that.

Why do some missiles spiral in weird movements after they are launched initially. I have seen a few clips on tv and some don't seem to launch straight up at the beginning.

All these opinions about whether to leave or not to leave coming from the White House, the Senate, the Congress...and of course yahoo posters'.... Why isn't anyone listening to the Iraqi citizens ? 89% of Iraqi's want the US out yesterday !

So are we trying to convince them that they are still a sovereign nation with a stable government, while at the same time doing what WE THINK we should do, instead of what THEY WANT us to do... ???

Operation Iraqi freedom will never be a success until you let them decide as a FREE country whether or not they want us to leave.

Who rather have the government take care of all your needs vs the freedom to choose and the options you have from choices? Isn't wanting more intervention from the government asking for socialism?

Does anyone think that we can end this conflict with military might alone?

We are faced with a lack of commitment from Iraq's neighbors:

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/07/31/us.mideast.ap/index.html#cnnSTCText

We are faced with a lack of responsiblity from the fledgling Iraqi government:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,291364,00.html?sPage=fnc.world/iraq

For those of you who think that opposing this war means 'asking for failure' and 'not supporting the troops':

Aren't we already failing on all of the fronts that we need to have success in if we want the efforts of those brave men and women to come to fruition?

And is doing a poor job in every other area of this conflict
(reconstruction, regional aid and support, and diplomacy, etc.)
a much larger show of lack of support than bringing them home?
