The man is pure comic gold! Here are some of my favourite recent "Bushisms":

"My relationship with this good man is where I've been focused, and that's where my concentration is. And I don't regret any other aspect of it. And so I—we filled a lot of space together."—on British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Washington, D.C., May 17, 2007

"The question is, who ought to make that decision? The Congress or the commanders? And as you know, my position is clear—I'm a commander guy."—Washington, D.C., May 2, 2007

"I'm a strong proponent of the restoration of the wetlands, for a lot of reasons. There's a practical reason, though, when it comes to hurricanes: The stronger the wetlands, the more likely the damage of the hurricane."—Discussing post-Katrina wetland improvements, New Orleans, March 1, 2007

You know, one of the hardest parts of my job is to connect Iraq to the war on terror."—Interview with CBS News, Washington D.C., Sept. 6, 2006 (maybe a Freudian slip?)

Why dosen't America intervene and try to fix up that country like we did with Iraq and Vietname...nothing is going to stop the Mexicans from comming here illegally unless we either secure the border or fix up Mexico...I feel bad for these Mexicans.

Senator Biden (and several other candidates) are proposing the division of Iraq into a series of ethnic states (Sunni, Shia, Kurd, etc.) as a way to end the civil war, and start the peace process. The idea conflicts with the Bush concept of a single, unified Iraq, but it has the support of a number of our allies as an alternative to ongoing civil conflict.

I have a few ideas about it, but no real opinion. I am curious as to what you guys think.

I am writing a paper on diversity in public service (paramedicine, policing, fire) and military service. I am including a survey of whether you feel gays and lesbians should openly serve in our public safety sector and our military? And if you are a military professional or public safety professional, do you feel that it would undermine the oath you take to serve next to a gay or lesbian service member?

Second Question:
Do you feel affirmative action is necessary in public safety careers? It has been proven to make a more racially and ethnically diverse sector, how do you feel.

Thank you in advance for your input as this helps my paper along tremendously!

>This is fairly long, but very informative. First you have to read the catalogue of events in this brief piece. Then, ask yourself how anyone can take the position that all we have to do is bring our troops home from Iraq, sit back, reset the snooze alarm, go back to sleep, and no one will ever bother us again. In case you missed it, the intro to World War III was on November 1979... that alarm has been ringing for years.

>US Navy Captain Ouimette is the Executive Officer at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida. Here is a copy of the speech he gave last month. It is an accurate account of why we are in so much trouble today and why this action is so necessary.

>AMERICA NEEDS TO WAKE UP!
That's what we think we heard on the 11th of September 2001 (When more than 3,000 Americans were killed). Maybe it was, but I think it should have been "Get Out of Bed!" In fact, I think the alarm clock has been buzzing since 1979 and we have continued to hit the snooze button and roll over for a-

I asked a question about the socialist in this country wanting take from those that work hard to give to those that won't.

Automatically, without question, I was....

1. A republican...sorry...not here...I am independent.
2. Was on welfare and that is how I got where I am...no...sorry...never took a government handout
3. A racist...yeah....tell that to my Mexican son
4. Conservative...yeah when it comes to my money...not so much with personal freedoms
5. "Had EVERYTHING handed to me"...not quite..going from being homeless to were I am now took a lot of work. Would have been easier to get a handout...but not my style thanks...

And the best one...

6. A white male...HA HA HA HA...one poster told me that I am where I am because I have never struggled like a woman...NO...I struggled like any other human when trying to get out of a pile of crap...and yes...I am a woman.

I have an aunt with down syndrome, my grandmother past away 4 years ago and I have been taking care of her. My aunt's sister has legal guardianship of her, but now she is planning on taking off and leaving her behind (abandoning her). I have aso found out that she has been taking my money my aunt recieves from the state. Can the state take my aunt away from us if we are not her leagal gaurdians? My grandfather is still alive and lives with my aunt (which is his daughter with down syndrome).
Can her sister get in trouble for that money? I want to make sure nothing happens to my aunt, and I want to know if their is anything legally I can do? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

OK, I'm NOT insensative, but why do people donate money to a policeman's family when he is killed in the line of duty? Doesn't the city carry life insurance on them, and also pay the funeral if killed in the line of duty? Again, I'm not insensative, just ignorant.

A well regulated militia being neccessary to the security of a free State, the rights of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
The Second ammendment seems abundantly clear in granting "the people" the "right" to not only own weapons but to carry them. That is what bear arms means. And "Shall not be infringed" is very strong language indeed. Any encroachment or limitation is an infringement on the right to keep and bear arms. Registration, liscencing, reqired training, these are all infringements. Every gun control law in the country violates this constitutional right. If you know a valid legal reason it doesn't, I'd like to hear it.

My husband sold his house on, what was supposed to be a 2 year contract. Well we recently noticed that the contract does not specify 2 years, infact the buyer has until 2028 to pay us off! We talked to the lawyer and he is willing to revise it, for free. The problem is the buyer is not willing to resign it. BUT, looking through the contract it says they aren't allowed to make improvements to the premises, without our consent. They have done painting, they took out part of our fence...there are several cosmetic changes they have made and not told us about. Can we get them on that? And take the house back or demand the full price on the home? What legal rights do we have about this situation?
